  1. Ay. Looking for clan. For this campaign thing. That's it. Add me in game if you want my dek pix,
  2. So I was planning to put my results in Assassin's thread but I decided to make my own. So seeing as I hate myself and can barely make enough credits for clanwars I'm doing 50 games with gold and 50 games with a loadout that would make Sirfoch proud (0 heat). Sample size is small but it should be enough to get some results. Also, I think this is the right place to put this but idk. Goldspam loadout Regspam loadout give me gold Goals: 3.5k dpg with heat 3.4k dpg without heat Replays will be uploaded in batches of ~10 or so depending on my mood. Discuss. Also, goldspam, Skoda T50 and challenge should never be used in the same sentence.
  3. Yo guys! So I'm Yung Lean, or most of you call me Kolni. 4. Pretty much what the title says, I've gotten so acquainted with my 140/62a and their play styles, I really don't know how the Pershing should be played. Every game it seems as if I can never do enough damage to help the team whether that be because of the guns accuracy, penetration, etc resulting in losses. Any help would be greatly appreciated. http://wotreplays.com/site/2057906#south_coast-whenisayboomisayboom-m26_pershing http://wotreplays.com/site/2057973#arctic_region-whenisayboomisayboom-m26_pershing http://wotreplays.com/site/2058014#stalingrad-whenisayboomisayboom-m26_pershing

  6. I've been gaming since forever with a $10 Logitech keyboard + mouse combo on an hp dv-7 laptop... I think it's time to upgrade. No case, monitor, or power supply to reuse; I'd like to actually get my hands on some decent peripherals for a change as well. Don't need an OS or optical drive, will be running off wired connection so Wifi is unnecessary. Budget is variable: ideally I'd like to keep it below one grand USD, but I can stretch that to get some better parts if there will be a significant boost. Goal is to run modern games at a stable 60+fps on high/ultra at 1920X1080. Since I play WGLNA, it'd probably be nice to boost my tanks performance as well. I'm looking at two different tower builds. The cheaper, non-overclock-capable one is: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($159.99 @ Micro Center) Motherboard: ASRock H81 Pro BTC ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($41.99 @ Newegg) Memory: Patriot Viper 3 Low Profile Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($67.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($53.95 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card ($349.99 @ NCIX US) Case: Zalman Z11 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case ($44.99 @ Micro Center) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg) Total: $768.89 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-10-28 14:37 EDT-0400 The more expensive wallet screaming bloody murder one is: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant CPU: Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor ($199.99 @ Micro Center) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($28.98 @ OutletPC) Motherboard: ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($104.99) Memory: Patriot Viper 3 Low Profile Blue 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($67.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($53.95 @ Amazon) Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card ($349.99 @ NCIX US) Case: Zalman Z11 Plus ATX Mid Tower Case ($44.99 @ Micro Center) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($49.99 @ Newegg) Total: $900.87 Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available Generated by PCPartPicker 2014-10-28 14:38 EDT-0400 Either build is a significant upgrade from what I'm currently rocking. Remember, I need peripherals too, so I need to set aside ~$250-$400 for those, depending on what I go for. Obviously I understand the more money I put in, the better performance I get, but my main question is... how much better? Questions: 1. For anyone that's overclocked their processor, what sort of boost to WOT framerates did you see? I'd rather save the money if I'm just going to jump from 60 to 80 or something like that, but if you can break 100 or even closer to 120, then I'm willing to break open the piggy bank. 2. Wait for Broadwell, yay or nay? I'm not too sure what the performance increase will be... and honestly, with Skylake apparently coming out soon after, I'm tempted to just snag the H81 + 4590 combo and upgrade the mobo and processor when the new architecture is released. If I pay for the more expensive stuff upfront, I need it to last longer. 3. Is wattage sufficient or do I need to spring for a 750W PSU? 4. Go for a 144hz monitor or a standard, cheaper 60hz IPS? Again, this comes down to framerates; if tanks is too demanding for my framerates to benefit I'd rather just save cash now and upgrade later. I don't really care about 144hz for other games- when I'm playing single player I can live without pixel-perfect smoothness. 5. Just out of curiosity, is either i5 strong enough for Twitch streaming at say, 720p/60fps? I'm not willing to spring for the i7 just to stream, but it'd be interesting to know. Answer any or all of the questions you can, or just review the builds, it's fine by me. Thanks in advance for assistance.
  7. I doubt any anime clans recruit here, but it's worth a shot... Copy pasta: Yes, my member title is the best.
  8. Feel free to add your own
  9. I guess being vegetarian gives you a 6% bonus to your hit ratio: wtf is the explanation for this? there was no team damage involved
  10. Can I have someone experienced (like a purple) review this replay for me? Any feedback/constructive criticism would be appreciated. http://www.mediafire.com/?gu7euakdiipsd3w For the record, what I did during this match: nearly 1.5K damage no dmg received ~350 assistance dmg 16 shots fired, 7 hits, 7 penetrations (I know my aim is sometimes horrid) 2nd top dmg dealer on our team (top was T29 with 2.7K dmg) I went full retard and tried to kill a luchs at the beginning of the match; I acknowledge that I made a stupid
  11. Back in the dark ages of WoT I once got 10 kills & 2,484 XP admittedly that was in the VK3601 which used to be a little OP but in my defense I was in a tier 8 match up. Since then the nearest I have come is 9 kills in my E-75 but as far as I remember the XP I earned was less than 2k maybe this was because I was munching on Tier 6's I am not sure. I feel I am improving as a player I have even managed to get my E-100 win rate up from 42% to 48% in recent months so I believe I am learning but however I try I cannot beat my all time XP record. I am not sure if I need to be a little more selfish & become a lesser team player maybe I need to stop backing up my team. Should I forget supporting an isolated player? Should I forget to shore up an open flank where I myself may get isolated & raped by multiple enemies because the lemming train went off in another direction. Should I head to my favorite sniping spot & lay out lots of damage & type S.T.F.U when chat gets hot & tells me to move! Should I camp in some bushes instead of leading the charge in my E5 knowing the enemy will come but we will lose. Should I forget to look at my mini map or ignore how the battle is developing. Should I never cross half the map & support my arty as a light tank breaks through our lines. No I will not I will continue to support my team in the best way I see fit even though some plonker will say you dead I am alive you NooB after I have defended a corner against insurmountable odds & pointed out he should have helped instead of camping in base. Sometimes I love this game sometimes I hate it but I keep coming back as you never know what will happen & I will keep hoping for that perfect game when everything goes right & I will eventually beat my all time top score. Bullitt....
  12. With the exception of perhaps Himmelsdorf (and even then...) Your scout This is the guy that's going to: * Show you which direction the enemy is deploying and the composition of the deployment. Oh and if you have xvm installed you'll also know where the good tanks went. * Light up the enemy tanks so you can shoot them without being seen. * Generate map control and area denial. Knowing what area is clear for your team will allow them to advance to better forward positions. Enemies getting spotted by your scout will have their sixth sense buzzing and likely hold off from advancing. * Counter-scout to remove enemy scout threat for your team/artillery. Your higher tier scouts can also: * Light and/or kill artillery (which was a major factor pre 8.6 but still important). * Flex to cap or defend an enemy cap. * Harass, distract, or destroy higher tier enemy tanks. No other type of tank in the game can do so much for their team. A great scout on an average team will provide it with a distinct advantage over a better team that has an inferior scout. The major problem is that... there aren't many great scouts in the game. It's the most difficult skill to master. You need to: * Be extremely fluent with control of your tank. * Have very high map awareness and response time. * Know the best passive spots and the best avenues for active spotting. * Understand when push, fall back, or engage. * Have a thorough understanding of the game mechanics. * Communicate with your team Take an often hated-on map like Campnikova. A simple parallel scout run on your way out of the base can easily result in the destruction and/or damage of numerous enemy tanks within the first minute of the battle. This provides a huge advantage to your team. The 'B' side also has the awesome G2 passive spot and the 'A' side gets the excellent E7 spot. The E7 spot is probably superior because spotting from G2 can cause the bulk of your tanks to sit in base for an extended period while they shoot at the enemy base. This can lead to loss of 'the hill' and map control as well. The E7 spot relies on your team advancing quickly towards to hill in order to get shots down the A line as the enemy moves up. Long post is long....anyways. It makes me cringe every time I see a scout tank crying about being in a high tier match. They can do so much to help the team if they understood how valuable they could be!
