When I read the official WoT forums, WoT sub-Reddit, and WoTLabs forums, one question comes up more than any other: how do I improve my gameplay? This is particularly challenging for players who have hit a ceiling in terms of their measurable performance (e.g. win rate, WN8 rating, etc) and are not sure what to do. While players can download replays of highly-skilled players, those replays don't capture the thinking process of the player behind the tank - you see their actions but don't necessarily know the how's or why's behind them. Therefore, in this video series I share what I learned as I progressed towards account Unicum rating (top 1%) with silver ammo only. I talk through how I’m reading the battle as it unfolds and discuss key decisions and mistakes. My hope is that these videos meaningfully help other players improve their gameplay. Stat line: Ace Tanker, 5.5k damage, 3 kills, 2 spots, 1.2k assisted damage As demonstrated in the video, the E50 has a highly accurate gun, and the solid hull armor can be angled to deflect incoming fire. I discuss the importance of flexing to prevent a flank from collapsing and the arguments against capping too early instead of pressing an advantage.
Alright, I might as well do one of these. I've always enjoyed helping people out, and all of a sudden I seem to have a lot of time on my hands and there is only so much play I can actually do. So, this thread is for both my uploading of any replays of tanks that I currently have and play actively (Chaffee, E25, IS-6, AMX 13 90, Leo 1, Obj 140, T62A, IS-7, T57 HT, and E100). I'll only upload ones that I consider good (3k+ wn8 or so). I have a very aggressive playstyle, which mostly works well for me, other times I go full potato and fail hardcore. If anyone is interested in me also giving a review of my own replays to walk through the game I can do that. My replays so far: http://www.vbaddict.net/player-replays/lunaclop-na-c669216e0c767726c466965208d52594 Also, any people who want to post replays of their own for me to do a quick review of, I'd be happy to. Preferably a tank I have played recently. (last 6 months of my games: http://www.noobmeter.com/recent/na/lunaclop/1000893990/1000893990_00010627_20140209_152702/1000893990_00015329_20140821_080719. Anything that is above 50 games or so is what I feel comfortable doing) Up to 3 replays per person, I have no idea how much attention this will get so no idea how long it will take me to get through them. Assuming there is a constant supply, I'll go for about 2 sets/day, maybe more if this catches on. This is all for the good of the pubs here, but if anyone is kind enough to donate I would be happy to accept.
I'm currently grinding up the Japanese line to fulfil the mission requirements of the free Super Pershing challenge. So far I'm done up till the Chi-Nu, and I'm interested to see if other players have any thoughts on which tanks are keepers in the entire line based on their experience with the Jap meds/lights. In my limited playtime, only the Ke-Ho really stands out in low tiers, and I'm curious about T6-10.
