I got... really reallly reckt during this touranment, particuarly the end bit (I had south spawn for the first two days so no fighting turtles) and my question is Is it possible/how would you break a turtle on ruinberg with a light tank comp ie Croms, t37, vk3001m (I had a kv85 and 2 as well) becuase I was at a loss with this All of the teams were turtling in the buildings on south spawn and I couldent deal with it the turtle consisting of arl44 kv2, kv85, T1 heavy etc (some of them had a light tank or two) its a bit of a novice quesiton but the turtles did me in here

I found this problem when driving in a sniping tank or medium with no armour. It applies to both sides. In the mentioned situation, go anywhere close to the small town / mid ridge will be surrounded and killed quickly. Stay far behind in line 9/0 does no good either since there's no hard cover and will be cornered easily. Stay close to cap is also bad, will not spot anyone coming from line 9/0 until it's too late. Thoughts ?

Crusader - Ruinberg High Calibre, 1st Class 4 kills, 1670 damage http://wotreplays.eu/site/908701 I felt I played quite well in this one. I did the best I could but in the end it was not enough. After thinking about it for a bit, I did realise that when I couldn't circle the S-35 CA, I probably should of pulled back and out of his view range to go take care of the SPGs and lure him into the city. I would greatly appreciate some feedback on where I went wrong and what I could of done better.

After getting my shit pushed in by Precambrian in this this thread I realize to get any kind of consistency out of my play i need to fix my issues with "OMG WTF DO I DO" on these maps. (Seriously though Precambrian, i do appreciate the help, and it really has made me take a look at things i do that need to change) Specific tank to make it easier T-54. My type of gameplay has been "invisitank" and is something i have been working very hard to perfect. I do well on open maps, and my 60 day stats reflect this. However on city type maps, or mixed city/field maps im about as comfortable as a monkey fucking a football. I want to be like this.... But usually end up more like this..... Basically the first part i need to get right is positioning. My initial deployments are usually bad, and that leads to a calamity of errors after that. So what i need help with is good starting locations on these maps, and maybe a secondary spot to go to after that. I am trying to (obviously) get as much dmg in as i can without taking it. But the close combat ranges in city maps makes that very difficult for me to get used to. FTR, i don't hardly play heavies at ALL. almost all Med's, TD's, and Lights... hence why my close combat map skills are bad. I am getting more comfortable brawling in Meds, and i am confident i can place shots well, and hit spots that will pen. Problem is i tend to engage in bad spots that cost me to much health. Thanks for any help you can give!
