  1. I'm really interested in joining a WGLNA team for at least a season. If anyone is recruiting or knows of anyone recruiting, please let me know by sending me a pm or replying to this topic. I perform well in my tier 10s averaging around 3k damage+ in all (except for the Cent AX, I rage sold it lol). Currently in garage I have E5, 140, 62a, 50b, and M48. I would be able to attend any practices or battles (except 1 day). I am a good listener and enjoy having fun playing this game.
  2. Any big winners from the WGLNA scavenger hunt? I ended up in 382nd place. 1000 gold, some personal boosters, and 2 weeks & 3 days of premium time thanks to using the bonus code. Any other lucky Labbers?
  3. Hey guys, The next season is rolling in for WGLNA silver. Pathetic Gaming is looking for players to fill our roster. We're a strong team looking to place high and maybe even get into gold league if all goes well. Our requirements are simple. Right now we want people with league/tournament experience or that are well versed in cooperative play and have the TIME and DEDICATION to stick with us as we work to better ourselves and beat the competition. We need players that have good experience in tier 10s in the tanks we will be using most (russian meds, is-7, e5, 50b etc). We will be looking at stats too. We have no set requirements but generally we like to see people around our skill level (blue recent and above) TeamSpeak and comms are REQUIRED no exceptions. Please contact me or nate235 if you're interested. You have 2 days before rosters are submitted SHOW us you're interested and dedicated! Lmk if you have questions.
  4. Pathetic Gaming About us: We are a relatively new team made up of players that have been playing together for years. We started off in Silver league through the silver/bronze quals and made it to the playoffs but lost in a close tiebreaker in the first round. We've been pretty successful as a first-time team and now that we have more experience we're ready to push forward. We're looking for more players to fill our roster so we can continue kicking butt and get into Gold league. What we're looking for: League experience is a big plus.. it shows us you know what you're getting into and that you are somewhat on the same page as us! We can be flexible here if you show that you understand league meta well and are an exceptional fit with our team. We NEED players that are focused and dedicated. We expect you to be up-to-date on league meta and be active in training sessions. We love different perspectives on map strats and we're open to criticism and ideas! You must also have standard league tanks (IS-3, t54 ltwt, t37, etc.) with a strong crew on each (3+ skills). We don't have a hard requirement as far as stats go. We're looking for decent players and generally something like 2k+ recent wn8 and 1.7k+ overall will tell us you know how to shoot. We are flexible here as well. All in all we're looking for dedicated, experienced, and skillful team members that are willing to be pro-active and are as excited about league play as we are. Oh, and TeamSpeak 3 and comms (mic) are a MUST. You'll generally need monday nights and wednesday nights for league matches/preseason matches. We also scrim at various times during the week based on availability. We expect you to show up for scrims and of course the matches. 4-5 nights a week are necessary for us. If you're interested... Post here, PM me here or in-game. When you do contact us please be sure to give us an idea of how experienced you are, which tanks/crews you have, why you want to join and why you might be a good choice for us. If we like what we see we'll platoon with you long-term and have you play TB's and scrims with us. We'll evaluate you and if the team agrees then you will be accepted onto the team! If you can't find me, you can contact nate235. Nate has no life so he'll be on pretty much every day. Feel free to ask any questions!
  5. We are at the moment 4 players in the team and we're looking to recruit 6 more players for our WGLNA team. We're hoping to make it into the silver league either in our first or second season. Ts required, get in touch to get ip. http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/458637-new-wglna-team-forming/ Requirements : Overall WN8 : minimum 1600 Recent WN8 : minimum 2300 Members : Zeddrix (Captain) Animus_Of_Chaos (Officer) TheAK74 (Officer) Lonelyone
  6. So first of all, for those new to WGLNA or maybe just new to the Fantasy League might asking "I don't really like Gold League or watch the League, why should I participate in something that doesn't matter to me?", well the whole outlook upon that point of view has been changed for this season with a change for picking players with a chance to win a whole new deal of goodies for not just yourself, but also your clan. For this season there has been a combination of a ton of great prizes, which include Nightly Prizes - (The most interesting thing about this is the clan prizes which I think are a very nice addition) Quarterly Prizes - (Everybody loves a free Type 59) And the biggest and best, End-of-Season Prizes - (I believe places 1-3 are taking the place of previous tournaments which people could participate in to alternatively win a free trip) Read more about these prizes on the actual website - Fantasy League Prizes Information So since the first day of WGLNA was on June 23rd, that means the first winners were already announced! But don't worry, there are matches regularly every Tuesday/Thursday! Honestly, these prizes should be enough to convince anyone to participate in this, even if you don't watch the matches, you can just pick your favorite players in the league and see how far you get! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now with the prize system out of the way, I'll continue with my personal suggestions about what players you should pick for your team - ¡HOLA AMIGOS! Today is Thursday, July 21st and here are your best Fantasy League prediction picks for today's matches. To start off at 20:00 EST - #RU vs. Maple Freedom With Maple Freedom currently at 1-1(1 OTL) (4 Points) and #RU at 4-2, (12 Points) these is a underdog match. Maple Freedom has a chance to take maybe 1-2 matches off of RU and maybe a third depending on map picks, however that's the best I'd have to give Maple. RU would have to mess up pretty bad to throw more than that. However even with the strong possibility of a 5-0 it's still worth to pick one player from this match up, and with that I'm going to go with godzilla_mode from #RU. Next up at 21:00 EST is - Noble Gaming vs. Team Rival This match has a lot more potential to go past a 5-0 than the RU and Maple match above, so with Noble at 3-2 (9 Points) and Rival at 1-3 (1 OTW) (5 Points) it means that this match is very important for both of these teams since they're both towards the middle of the score board comparative to the rest of the league. Overall though I'm going to have to give this one to Noble because they will understand the importance and see Rival as a good opponent since they've overall had a good showing to their matches even if their points don't exactly reflect that. I'm going to pick two players from Noble which will be AkulaV and Dodoma and one from Rival which will be wwii_fanatic. After at 22:00 EST will be - S.I.M.P. vs. High Woltage Caballers This match is very important for both of these teams because both teams will both have atleast two other very strong teams to face after this match. However for SIMP this means even more brought on by the fact that both of these teams have played the same amount of matches but High Woltage has 4 points more than them. At the end of a bias'd day, I'll give this match to Woltage in a 5-2 fashion. From this match up I'm going to pick HeavyTwentyfrom Woltage and Nitts from SIMP. To finish off the night at 23:00 EST - I Love Lamp vs. GAME-OVER This match is basically one to determine who is at the bottom of the leader boards, with Lamp currently on the bottom with 1 point and GAME-OVER with 2. There's not too much to say about this match other than it has the possibility to be long but I don't think it will just because of how previous matches for these teams have gone, which is why I'm going to pick 1 player from this, which will be JoJoJacky from Lamp. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Teams NOT playing tonight - Synrgy Gaming, o7 Gaming, eLevate and Team Refuse. Do NOT have any players on these teams on your own fantasy team. Thanks for reading and good luck with whoever you pick, view HeavyTwenty's own thread on the WoT main forums to cross check if you're interested, http://forum.worldoftanks.com/index.php?/topic/449125-fantasy-league-team-picks-625-updated/ . 7. Hey WotLabs community, WGLNA Gold League Player Streaming. I started streaming on mlg.tv I will be trying to stream daily, but will stream a lot on fridays, saturdays for sure. Don't have an exact schedule up yet. Come hang out with me @ mlg.tv/SwippleTV and make fun of me for being a noob
  8. Since I seem to have picked up two players last night that didnt even play (Mort/swipple), maybe I could get some answers here -- o7 plays twice tomorrow night, and i wanted to see if anyone knew the lineup they normally run? Currently I have External007 and their captain fostakid. Hoping they are decent picks based on past years' games played compared to other team members. BTW shoutout to Team Refuse, although we didn't get to see you guys on stream nice points! (KT earned me quite a bit of points!)
  9. I am looking to join a competitive team either in silver league, or gold if anyone is interested. What I can offer: 4 or more nights a week attendance (clan knows I do league, CW attendance is pre arranged around my league play) Nearly 2 seasons experience in league play, one half in bronze and a full season of silver last season A lot of experience light/medium play, as in map awareness, knowing what bushes to use, when to shoot and at what, scout v scout brawling tricks, etc. Some experience as a battle caller, more experience in helping to design strats. I helped work on strats all last season as well as skirmishes and clan wars. 10 league competitive tier 8 tanks (8 in garage), 5 tier 7 (2 in garage), and a few tier 6's (only keep the cromwell around but have a crew to put others if needed). What I expect A team of well rounded and dedicated players who will play to be competitive and win while (hopefully) having fun with it. I am more than willing to audition to meet and play with you guys. Stats and stuff below https://clantools.us/servers/na/players?id=1003896893 http://wotlabs.net/na/player/IcedDragon If interested, please reply here, message me ingame, or PM me on these forums, I'll get back to you asap.
  10. Due to some personnel difficulties our team 'Bad at Tonks' requires additional members for the upcoming bronze league and the current preseason. We are looking for some experience and a plethora of tier 8's with well trained crews. We have a caller, but experience is welcome. We blazed through the open cup and won first place in the play offs and wish to continue our success. We will likely invite you or hold some sort of informal group play and TS interaction before making a decision. It takes a fair amount of commitment and dedication so please inquire if you are serious we wish to make a good run at bronze league and work our way to or into silver.
  11. So a group of friends and I have decided to try our hand at the league. I've been reading into it but I still have a few questions and would like some clarifications. As I understand it, the only way to get into open cup is via the open cup qualifiers. 1) Are there other ways to get into open cup/league or the other leagues? 2) How often are the qualifiers held? Once/twice a year? When are they usually held and is there an official calendar or something that I can use to see when league tournaments are held (for the future- not the past) ? I think last year June is when the qualifiers started.. is it safe to assume that June is when the open cup qualifiers will start this year? Thank you, Weasel

  15. Fulcrum broke up, and I read Soviets article and they made it sound like he was gonna be one of the last ones to stay. Im curious now where will Amanda/Jackq ,Friction and the others go. If they stay at all. The article made it sound like many older teams are breaking up. If you are a WGLAL member and are transferring or starting your own team can you tell us. I wasn`t sure where to post this. As an older player, I only rooted for older players and teams so I want to know if Im gonna keep following or not.

  17. BOSS is one of the oldest, active clan tags on the World of Tanks server. Having been created in the first week of release of World of Tanks. Some of the original members are still active and in clan. After a period of relaxation and rest, BOSS has re-branded and is looking for new life and tankers to join us in our e-Sport clan. We are all about team play, whether in platoons, strongholds or our bread and butter, Tournaments. What does BOSS Gaming offer the avid WoT tournament tanker? 1)Organization: You will know when tournament sign up is, who is calling, tiers for tournament, time frame for tournament etc all updated frequently on our webpage. 2)Scouting Reports: Our team of tournament specialists provide you with detailed information of who you're playing, their stats and tendencies. We are tracking all. 3)GOLD! We consistently earn gold every week in Skirmish. 2500 for three - four night Skirmish tournament common, sometimes more. BOSS Gaming teams earned over 3k gold in Skirmish 30. 4)Calling: Experienced calling is a large key to winning. Our callers have all the tools, are prepared, experienced, and can react on the fly. 5)Support: Our groups average battle count is large, our core members have been playing a long time, there isn't much they haven't seen in this game. They can help you with most anything in this game. 6)Relationships: BOSS leadership has been around this community a long time, have established relationships with WGA and WGLNA Pro's who join our teams and help where they can. Often our teams have high stat, good guys from other clans joining our teams. Why? Because we earn them gold and provide a fun environment where to do so. 7)Strongholds: If this game mode interests you, we are active in this mode because it is team based and has rewards. We rarely lose. 8)Environment: Many stories of bad mixes in clans, with people you don't like or just plain jerks. We have always offered a fun, win based without the over the top egomaniac environment. 9)Two active WGLNA teams. One named a VIP team not long ago for a WGA event. if WGLNA interests you our teams offer a good entry to this format, with experienced people who were in on the ground level. 10) Just a plain and simple awesome clan tag and logo. Who hasn't wanted to say you're being a boss, and well, you could be with the clan tag to prove it! What do we need from YOU? 1) A commitment to assisting our leadership in tournament planning. You will go to our website frequently, tag your availability for tournaments on our calendar, and sign up for that you can contribute to. 2) SHOW UP for what you have signed up for. Number one way to get tossed from BOSS Gaming is to NOT SHOW when you said you would. We understand not everyone can make everything, but letting us know is key to long term membership. 3) Stats: You should be running 1700+ WN8 (60 day) minimum in order to successfully fit in, and contribute to our Skirmish teams. You should be overall green level. (Some exceptions to be made here.) 4)Varied tanks in your garage. If you sold all your tanks on the way to tier 10, you are of no use to us. We NEED tiers from all levels, with crews available. 5)You should not be stingy with your gold, if you need to train a crew for a tier 4 tank which would cost you 600 gold, but you will earn 2500 two days later in winnings, we expect you to do so. Running Skirmish with an 80% crew is being a bad team mate. 6)You will not be a troll. Trolling is poor form, bad sportsmanship, and sinks you to a level we do not want in our group. 7) ACTIVITY. You are signing up for a competitive, e-Sport clan. Sitting in our group being a 'chip' we don't use is of no use to us. You will play strongholds, you will join tournament teams. This is why you would come here, playing WoT during weekday afternoons and not when tournaments are active does not make you a tournament player, or mean you should be in a tournament clan. 8)Yes you need TS3 so we can communicate during tournaments. We only expect you in TS when team events are going on, if you wish to not run TS during solo pub play. If you would like more information, please go to our webpage and register on the recruitment page, and someone will contact you for a one on one TS chat and potential toon session. Registering does not ensure acceptance or commit you to joining. Everything is confidential. http://wotbossgaming.enjin.com/home PM Me Here if you'd prefer, or find me in game.
  18. Hey WotLabs! I, the captain of the WGLNA open league team: Polite Canadians am looking for competent players to compete for the goaldz! The deadline for submission is the afternoon of Monday, September 15th. Please post or PM with availibility. REQUIREMENTS 1700+ 1000 battle WN8 2 or more 7/42 tanks
  19. Season 4 finals are going live Saturday at 5 PM Pacific/8 PM Eastern. First match is RBIS v. #RU 30 minutes after the broadcast begins. u wotchin m8?
  20. I thought I'd use wotlabs to start to flesh out the conversation before taking it to the official fora; the intent being to compile people's thoughts and opinions on how to improve WGLNA for next season. I've got a few ideas, but really anyone who's interested in what lacking and what can feasibly be improved should contribute. Also going to try and avoid NDA-breaking/WG management fiasco'ing. Personally, I'm staying away from re-tiering to 9/10 because I don't see it happening unless WGLEU and WGLRU follow suite. Without further adieu, Format: Remove the -1 point per missing tank rule. The tier 2 actually has a pretty interesting change in dynamic, while two t1s are viable for a lot of maps to force cap pressure. Cut out Abbey and Steppes. These maps are such shitty draw maps, and slow down the pace. Cut match time down to 7 minutes. Clock control means this cuts out 6:00-3:00 'couldn't get an initial overmatch, let's see if they'll push/remove silly capout' Implement a rule wherein if two consecutive draws occur, the remainder of maps are played on assault mode. I'm still not set on how side distribution would work. Presentation: - There's a lot of talent who will be leaving the league after season 4, keep their insight around! Video conferencing people like Nagatron et al. would add some knowledgeable depth to commentary, and likely save clutch from assaulting ruukill with a pen to the eye. - offset the delay a little more, and run the matches at 2x speed. Best way I can think of to speed up the action by, uh, speeding up the action. - Skin the tanks. Having Team colours/logos on the tanks would increase the prestige. I pitched the notion of limited camo for team colours in the silver thread, but if Minsk feels like 4 teams per regions is :effort: this is a decent enough stopgap. Would also help to draw sponsorship. Competition: - World finals is cool, but it'd be interesting to get summit series going with other regions. Same with Silver too. That's all I had for now, Thoughts?
