So I picked up a T37 girl to run in stronks/tournaments.  That fills all my inventory slots, leaving one slot for the T-55A.  Here is my wedge collection:

Non wedges are T37, T29, E4, Panzer V/IV, E25, and KV-5.  That's pretty much all my favorite tanks, each with an excellent crew.  It covers every tier and combination.  Now I just need to farm 3 MOE in each.

Any pubbie can farm with the 90mm.  Only Garbeast can farm running a derp.  Plus HE always does damage, and it has the highest damage of any gun on a medium.

So I'm rewatching season 5 of GOT.  I'm at episode 5 so far.

The scenes humanizing the unsullied are good.  Dany's struggles ruling are also pretty good.  The house of the undying is very good.  Hizadar made his char even better than the books, a great job.  The faith is pretty good, and I can understand making them antihomo bigots so TV watchers can be sure and know they are evil.  Crude, but acceptable.

The sand snakes are just idiotic.  In the books they are still pretty dumb and tangential, but at least they have a point.  Its not about some lowborn whore's vengeance for her non-murdered lover, it was about Dorne always being pro-targ, seeing as their princess was married to rhaegar and the mother of his children.

I just watched Ser Barristan die, and couldn't help but compare it to the books.  In the books, Ser Barristan isn't attacked by nameless sons of the harpy, but instead by the champion gladiators.  The gladiator taunts him as an old man, calling him a coward.  He then gets his highlight response, "This old coward is about to kill you, ser."  And then he does, because even though he is old (62), he's still MOTHERFUCKING BARRISTAN THE BOLD, DEBATABLY THE GREATEST FIGHTER OF ALL TIME.

But dany's "let the dragons decide?"  -_-  Seriously, she randomly murders someone literally the next episode after promising that law is law and everyone would get fair trials?  What kind of fucking shit is this?  Now don't get me wrong, dany is turning evil but not like this.  Not like this.  On its own, I can live with this but its not good.

Same with Jon at the wall.  Its not quite perfect, as it doesn't show Jon breaking his vows, but its good enough for what it is.  Same with Jon and stannis and the wildlings.  Its more or less accurate.  I note that giving the wildlings land was stannis' plan in the books, not jon.

But Stannis' arc.  God fucking Damn.  I want to firebomb those faggots' office for this shit.  Sansa rape was bad, poorly thought out torture porn.  And that was the best part.  Fucking those anti stannis shitlords.  Fuck them with a splintery broomhandle.

The one thing I've heard that gives the Faithful hope...D&D don't do subtlety.  That's why everyone who is bad is over the top sadists and such instead of mixed, so you are supposed to be glad when they die.  Compare Meryn Trant, who in the books is just a ho hum knight who obeys orders from his rightful king and kills Syrio who resists him.  That wasn't enough to make Arya's torture killing good, so instead they made him an abusive pedophile.  So when viewed in that way, making Stannis an out of control retard zealot who loses everything might be just laying groundwork for a Stannis redemption arc in season 6 where he remembers that he is the fucking Mannis and sets everything right. 

The whole scene is equivalent to the pink letter, and as you well know before the episode came out literally no one believed stannis was 1) dead or 2) was going to lose.  All signs in the book point the exact opposite, that Stannis is about to unleash a master stroke and unite the north and restore the starks, perhaps even adding in the vale/riverlands.  So either the books are in for a dramatic turn, or else D&D are playing with the script to create crude drama in the only way they know how -- ignore consistency/characterization and go for some torture porn.

But the thing that really scares me is that all of the well known Stannis Faithful bloggers are all as silent as the grave.  :/

I was trying to get some missions done today.  I got MT-15-3 and HT-7-3.  The only two that are left are 3x HP in hvy and 12k total damage in heavy.

So I watched episode 10....and I tried to dumb down my thinking to HBO level.  Here's my thoughts:

- Brienne, wielding Oathkeeper, sets out on the quest to return the stark girls to their mother, erm, safety.

- She watches the window for Sansa's candle.  This is her duty, to watch for danger to sansa and prevent it.

- Pod sees Stannis' army.  The moment she turns from the window to go after stannis, Sansa calls for help. 

- She finds Stannis, gives her idiotic little speech about the Pretender Renly, he tells her to do her Duty, and then she swings at Stannis.  Her view is conveniently right across the open field at winterfell.

So think on this...she literally turns from her duty to kill Stannis in a personal quest for vengeance in a shit cause.  The moment she turns from her duty, Sansa needs help desperately.  So Brienne is in the process of breaking her Oath, and is reminded to do her duty by the mannis.  She prepares to swing...

 

...and then looks across the field and sees something.  Is it the candle?  Is it two frail bodies falling hundreds of feet into the snow?  Whatever it is, Brienne realizes that's her duty, not avenging renly.  Then Pod whips out his stupefyingly impressive whorepleaser, slaps her across the face with it, and points out that stannis can help her fulfill her duty -- he can protect reek/sansa and get them back to the wall.  He can rally the north in her name, using his surviving troops, his loans, and his military mind.  And he can stop the white walkers.

What will she do?  Her duty, of course, and that doesn't including killing the Mannis.  Cue the Stannis redemption arc.

She does swing.  The directors say they didn't show the death to avoid gratuitous violence (and we all know HBO is all about avoiding gratuitous violence). The actors and such say its over, stannis is dead.  OFC, they say the same thing about jon snow.

Opinions are mixed.  GRRM seems to actually be working hard, and an early 2016 release is not impossible.  However, by that point the filming/writing for S6 will already be done, so either way what we see in S6 will be D&D fan fiction.  Its also been confirmed D&D do not have access to GRRMs notes or transcripts.

Another key detail...someone asked GRRM about Stannis' death on his blog.  GRRM hates when people do that, and poasted an angry, snarky replay about how he can't comment on it or spoil it because he hasn't written it and hasn't decided.
