-700k creds, what you running on it!? Full gold ammo?

Yes, I'm also out of food so I'm paying 20k a game for it.

Here's today session ground the MoE from 97 to 98.55. I'll see I can get 100% but I doubt I will unless I get a really lucky streak.

I uploaded a fuckton of replays too so you can watch them if you want.

Anyone mind throwing me some help with this tank? I average about 2.6k dmg which is lower than my CAX and middling for my tier Xs. I got 1 mark in it but still feel like I'm doing bad. I only average 1 shot of dmg more than the 50 120 (which I hated but 2 marked during the grind) which is kind of silly considering how much better the 50 B is compared to the 50 120 (during the neck brace era of -6/+6). I think a lot of it comes from not knowing where to go on maps.

Good kru, APCR and food. I played few battles in 50B but that's how i run it. You can't afford not penning shots. So APCR is mandatory.

So is this worth getting anymore? Everything seems to be armour focused now, and I find in my 50-120 I just get rushed, although I do try to not be at the front, so long lived high damage games don't happen often. Does sound like APCR would be mandatory but is it better just to get something else? It's win rate does seem to be at the low end. Is the armoured line a better option now?

Thanks

@Ragutis yes it is. The 50B is still exceptionally competitive, though it has seen its roll diminish with the 5A and the Super Conq in terms of CW. The -10 depression, 1600 burst, and good handling give it good flexibility in most all situations when it comes to pubs.

As far as comparison in competitive, the AMX M4 54, will not see CW use. The 130mm is not good for CW (max 280 pen), and the Super Conq is GOD if you want a 120mm high DPM gun with exceptional upper hull and turret armor.

God do I regret buying this tank. I can see the damage potential, it's there of course, and the tank is better than the 120, no doubt about that. But being top tier all the time in a paper heavy that has absolutely zilch armour, and constantly getting pressured to deal with heavies and armoured mediums makes life absolutely miserable for me.

Fucking turd of a tank, would rather play the M4 than this shitwagon, 50 120 is leagues better tier for tier

The tank is the definition of power creep, but this thing is still powerful. You can still bet your shots out before the enemy heavy has a chance to reload if you time it perfectly, and you're fast enough to fall back to your team and use them as meat shields during your 27 second reload. Requires iq to play in this current meta but it's still good. Remember to pay attention to the mini map and what your enemies are doing to know when to poke and when to wait for them to poke.

It's a great tank to force players to learn the basics of intelligent play (knowing when to poke and paying attention to what you opponent is looking at or when they've just fired at an ally), because if you don't understand these things you will do nothing.

I don't really like it much nowadays because first is that gun, massive acceleration coupled with 0.17 dispersion, AP so darn unreliable at sniping with that accuracy and pen, then there is the transmission, it is only quick to accelerate before hitting 45. Second is nobody actually dare to poke even when they have 3k health on the block. Last you got accused as defeat factor by local 277 for staying alive in game. It is in a bad state because it shines only when the team is doing it correctly, but suffers way more when the team is under performing. Unlike the other two which has at least level of protection on their turret.

Wait for people to poke is not feasible with armour inflation, unless we are talking about playing with the 2 key, yes that will work.

past me would be surprised with me saying the 57 kind of outclasses the 50b by a fair bit but here we are. Obviously the turret on the 57 pokes way better but the real kicker is engagements can be so short being able to spam that c button is actually a huge advantage. The 57s extra clip per minute just provides so much more flexibility in comparison to the 50b's speed.

So, the AMX 50B in 2021 for an average player.

Well, for me at least, it is awful, and I am awful in it. In fact, I use some silly Christmas gift-wrap camo on it because i feel like I'm basically just wrapping myself up as an XP pinata for the enemy team when I play this thing. I am so bad in it, it is not even funny, but here's my take on it.

It is the definition of power-creep in the game. It is a huge, fat heavy with zero armour (well some on the hull that can troll but in the day and age of hull-down monsters, it is more about turret armour these days, and this has none) and the template MM constantly pairs you up against things that actually have health and armour so can anchor flanks. This cannot do any of that. It has obviously deterrent because of 1,600 damage clip but especially early in the game it can be very hard to get use out of it because people are prepared to poke into you and if it's an awkward situation, you may not be able to trade the whole clip. In return for zero armour you get speed, but it's nothing too fantastic as there are other heavies which are just as mobile these days with better armour.

The gun itself is awful at long range and questionable at mid-range, and does not snap very well, and suffers that typical issue in that you can't quite fully utilise the good intra-clip because you need to let it aim in just a little otherwise you risk shots flying off into the ether. These days it feels that to be effective you need to play like a bitch, but then you just get your team bitching at you when they all die inside the 45 seconds that it takes you to reload your clip in the back row behind hard cover.

My initial 40 or so games came at about 45% win rate, I decided to play out to 100 games with battle pass and the on track foolishly thinking I might improve my win rate at least back to 50%. Silly me. 60 games later, at 100 games, I have a 43% win rate with a measly 2,049 DPG and 644 average assist. It's famine and feast - the right circumstances and you will spit out 4k damage with no problem. Team is even slightly brain-dead and you're shut out waiting for an opportunity to get the clip off without dying only to see them all crumble and you get overwhelmed. Used Vents, Vstab and Optics although in hindsight I would probably drop Optics and sacrifice a bit of view range and take either a GLD or IRM to try and get the gun a bit more under control.

Impossible to recommend in the current state of the game to an average player, although I'm sure good players can still make the clip and mobility work.
