No new French Heavies in 2014 or 2015

FTR has reported that "new French heavy line will definitely not come in 2014 or 2015"

 

As a self-diagnosed Francophile, I am extremely disappointed that the 2nd French heavy line (modeled back in 7.5(?)) will be delayed again.

Anyone else pissed that the French are getting shorted again?

 

I know they got knocked out of WWII early but I find it infuriating that Germany gets the completely BS WTF E100 while the French tree stagnantly rots away, cursed by crap low tiers that WG has conveniently forgotten (I am looking at you, SAu S40, AMX 40, and B1) about and a lack of new content (that they could implement at any time, barring HD remodel).

 

Speaking of which, anyone notice that none of the tanks getting HD remodels are French?

 

Is it just me in my blue-white-red haze that thinks the French tree deserves some love?

I've been really excited for the AMX-30 and whatever the non-autoloader heavy line is for the longest time. When was the last time the French got new tanks? Was it the Foch 155? That's ridiculous, WG.

I hate to say it, but Japanese Heavies definitiely have a WAY higher priority right now. Any nation only having a single line is a joke that needs to be expanded ASAP. All those experimental heavies might actually make the nation (and all those complete missions for all nations events) worth playing.

As far as I remember 2 lines were forecasted : 1 new medium line leading to AMX 30 and 1 heavy line leading to AMX 65.

they should be released by patch 9.0...however it was a error...

 

 

More than that I found most of french tree is broken :

• TD line : since nerfed and arrival of WTF E100 line is useless
• Heavy line : since arrival of T57 heavy...well even if it's a pleasure to play with them, T57 Heavy/T54E1 and T69 are by far more effective. (50B has been buffed a little bit recently and T57 heavy will be a litte nerfed on 9.3)

Medium and artellry trees remain competitive however...

 

but for me, France needs rebalance and HD models...more than a new line..;)

Lolnope.

The French have a complete tree, with all classes of vehicles. And they have some of the most amazing tanks in the entire game: ELC, AMX1390, BC25t, BDR, ARL, AMX50100, AMX50B, Bat SPG. What more do you want? They've been dominating both the CW and ESL scene since they were introduced, and that's because they have OP tanks on every tier that matters. The Foch line was foched recently, but it's not like it didn't deserve a nerf... they did hit it too hard, but I'm not gonna complain much, that tank was cancer anyway.

 

If any tree needs more tanks, or complete reworks, than those are UK and China. Those two have no role other than just existing as a novelty.

And there are other nations with awesome tanks that need some attention too, mainly Sweden, Italy, Yugoslavia, Hungary, Czechoslovakia... And there is so much work that needs to be done on modeling and physics.

Yea, France is far from being a priority.

In fact, after thought, AMX 13-90 will become quite obsolete (exagerated deliberately) with the addition of the new lights on patch 9.3...especially T49...but AMX 13-90 will still shine clearly.

 

Idem AMX 50B is a good tank but does not have the BOOM effect of T57 Heavy.

 

Anyway the most urgent job to do on french tree is to rebalance their TD lines...that's my point of view..

I'd like to see the French baby tiers changed (when a normal tank needs pref MM just to be playable you have a problem, buff the fucking thing) and a few of the french TDs buffed (all the fochs could use a bloom buff, and the 1946's 100mm needs to be made useable) but I agree that the rest of the line, including the future French heavy line, can be put on hold. I'm not saying I dont want to see them - I definitely do, more than most any other lines, but there's just so much on WG's plate right now. Strongholds, Havok, HD models, physics rework, GUI rework, audio rework... WG simply bit off more than it can chew, and content releases are going to be slow for at least the rest of 2014.

With 9.3 patch I'm quite convinced that amx 13-90 and wz-132 (more true on this last one) in a awkward situation.

And I see(already fear) the T49 like a TD with high alpha with light tank mobility...but it's another topic to debate..
