Chaffee race mode

Initially I was somewhat concerned about this, as the Chaffee isn't actually all that fast for a light tank. Wargaming's CGI-heavy trailer did little to allay my concerns.

 

 

However, someone linked me actual in-game footage, and my concerns are now allayed. The Chaffee Sport editions used in this mode are fast, seemingly only partially affected by gravity, drift like crazy, and can even drive on the roof of a warehouse on Port. I've always been fond of the ELC races my clan does on patch days, so something with actually enforceable rules piques my interest.

i think this is a much needed addon for WOT, espically when my teams suck and im potatoing harder than a smiths chip. its good to have a "statless" game mode to fall back on and drink a lot of scotch and shoot random explosive shit to.

I expect someone would be able to replace the visual model of the Chaffee. I may investigate how just to film it for giggles.

Chaffee gets a top speed buff in 9.3.  It is supposed to be able to hit 70 kph now.

Chaffee gets a top speed buff in 9.3.  It is supposed to be able to hit 70 kph now.

It will also only ever hit 70 going downhill. At least, judging by test server play.

I wish they would have had choice of tan kto race, like those extreme car games where you pick slow but armored or slow with better gun or better handling but faster top speed etc.

This mode looks like tonnes of fun and I may end up playing the shit out of it. Looks really cool and a nice relaxing game mode to chill in after a hard day.

I sure hope you can't use premium gasoline, because that would be rather expensive. 100 octance would also be annoying, but I guess one might get a whole bunch of cheapish wins using it.

I think I've finally found a way to teach my 10 year old son to control tanks with a keyboard - he will play this all the time and figure out how to use the keys.  I let him loose on my PZ1C a while ago and it was not pretty..........

 

Bonus - won't affect my stats by the looks of it.

Seriously. Karl was cancer, but still entertaining. 62a football was fun, but it got bit old. This looks to be the best. But after playing dozens of pub games in a day, I would love to have a silly play4fun mode that I could choose.

According to everyone's favourite corridor apologist, you get to keep the Chaffee crew (it gets retrained free of charge to normal Chaffee), and the XP on the Chaffee Sport gets transfered to the T1 Cunny for your free XP gold conversion pleasure.
