Brendan's IS-6 Challenge

Hey!
   Bought myself a shiny new IS-6 today and decided I want to IS-6 properly. I will be doing a 50 battle challenge with a few goals in mind: Achieve 60% WR in it, deal an average of 2200 damage, 30% Survival rate and get 1.5 kills per game. Stats will be tracked with Tank Numbers and posted when I can.

60% survival rate is mandatory as well, failing to do this will require stealing the cookie from the cookie jar off the top shelf in a kitchen made entirely out of legoes (shoes or socks are not permitted)

ick why do you have BIA just hanging out there.

Spend the 800 gold to swap that with repairs - I'd much rather have 100% BIA and 86% rep than 100% rep and 86% BIA.

Also, a shame you're too poor to get third equipment, but I guess that's why you're playing the IS-6.

And oh my god I'm so envious of that 30m/s ping

Yeah, I will be swapping Repairs for BIA soon because this crew doesn't get used much so I forgot. I bought Vents a few games after the start. Love 30ms ping <3

Why not. If you're fitting on the move it helps, with that super heetseeking Russian accuracy, I would rather have vertstab gld and rammer than vents gld and rammer

Meh, I bought vents instead of vstab because most combat occurs at close range so it doesn't make enough of a difference.

Your average credits earned seems really low. Is that usual for the IS-6?

 

I have been thinking about buying it but only want it for earning credits as I have 2 tier 10s unlocked but unbought plus I need a lot of equipment. Doesn't seem to make a lot of sense to buy the IS-6 if it doesn't make credits.

 

On the other hand, I do need to pad my WR has it is abominable.

Well you didn't quite meet your goals for damage or kills (though you weren't that far off), but you significantly exceeded your WR goal.  I'd call that a win.   How much was it in platoon vs. solo?

Does anyone else find fighting other IS-6s while in an IS-6 frustrating w/o gold rnds? I usually carry ten gold rnds but once they are gone i seem to bounce the drivers hatch with regular rounds

Without gold you really need to force the action and take initiative,while aiming carefully. Very doable, but you need to be the one dictating the pace, not them
