Why aren't YOU playing KV-5? The Better-Than-IS-6 Appreciation Thread

In an effort to break my premium rounds addiction, I've been packing less gold rounds on all tanks (sometimes none).

Does the KV-5 have a higher credit multiplier than others? Even in games where I deal a paltry ~1,000 damage, it seems like I'm earning more credits than I would in most other tier 8 premiums.

What gives?

Its AP rounds are only 270g per shell, compared to 1025g on the IS-6. Running AP on it cuts down shell cost a lot so that may be what's doing it for you.

Seriously, this tank is godly. I can even shoot straight APCR, make money, and not worry about the fact that I forgot basically all pen values and weakspots. It's also nice to tower over IS-6's and pen them ezpz.

 

It might be sluggish; it might be slow; it might be ugly; it might make you shit bricks when arty pummels you; but there is nothing better than driving this bias-mobiles and watch as reds bounce your R2D2.

 

I'm actually not feeling bad about spending $50 on pixel tonks.

On another matter: If I already own an IS-6 is this tank still worth getting? I mean it looks like a ton of fun...
And if this is able to play even more in-ya-face-ey than the IS-6 I will probably really like it. I mean I really love the KV-220 for its ability to simply not care about the enemy and push them regardless of matters...  How close is this? (I mean of course you probably can't yolo KV-220 hard, but still...)
