First off, if this post is in the wrong place I apologize upfront.

 

I was wondering when a player catches a ban from a support ticket, or the report tickets reaching a certain threshold like in xensation's case. Does the ban start ticking down as soon as the switch is thrown, or does the ban start at the players next attempted log in.  Thanks in advance for satisfying my curiosity.

When the switch is thrown.  If you get a 3-day ban on a Sunday, but don't login again until Friday, you'll never know anything happened.

When the switch is thrown.  This is true for the forums as well, incidentally.  I got banned for 30 days a while back and never noticed.

Depends highly on who is doing the banning. I got banned for saying zip zop zoobity bop, RNGs in this lot.

 

Then again, i was a epic troll (see free premium/tanks for a year)

Even if you are not playing at the moment you can notice it. With all my last bans, regardles wether it was ingame or forum, I recieved an email from WG. Telling me my account got suspended for X days reason bla bla bla". As I always check my mails I noticed it every time, even from my forumaccounts ^^

I just like to call the red orange baboons what they are. And the chatban is actually pretty nasty, you cant even use the normal ingame commands nor can you ping on the map. This combined in a team with the map awareness of a goldfish just sucks.

Ive actually turned off the in game chat, I can still ping the map et al. But it does save me from going full loco when Baddy McBadBad starts sperging in chat.

 

Edited to add - Since I have turned it off I have noticed a surprising uptick in wn8

30 days chat ban?  Or play ban from team killing?

Did you get shorter bans before the 30 day ban?  When I have a ban, it's always been 5 days.

For me, when I get another 5 days chat ban it's reacting to trolling from the enemy team.

I mean, I'm not too happy if I'm stuck again in a losing team that it melting at a rate of like 3 - 15 inside three/four minutes of game play but I can manage it.  However, if then the enemy teams start saying stupid shit like "gg" or whatever I can lose it.  Especially if I'm stuck in a row of losing games.

 

I know it's a stupid way of getting a chat ban.  Everytime I tell myself I won't react.  But everytime when I haven't left the battle (mistake numero 1), which I mostly do to avoid these situations, I wide up raging.

Only chat ban I've had was for "flooding" when I said once in general chat that a friend of mine had m60 and fail lowe codes. 3 day chat ban for "flooding" when I posted something in general.. Once..

Kekekekek I did that to Tioga once when he was playing his T92. The amount of sperging he did in chat was hilarious, I was expecting a PM after battle, but I guess he didn't feel obligated to communicate with someone who wasn't a "fellow unicum".
