XVM Config Support and Stuff - All mods with a config welcomed!

I have a strange problem in 9.7.

In the players panel I use this code snippet:

<font face='XVM' size='13' color='{{c:vtype}}'>{{vtype}}</font> 

The result is still as expected the vehicle class symbol:

However on the battle loading and statistics form I use this:

<font face='XVM' size='13'>{{vtype}}</font>

It used to work the same but after the update it looks like this:

I tried using a normal font in place of the XVM font and the text replacement for {{vtype}} seems ok, so I would guess the wrong font is used. Any ideas?

That looks like a christmas tree on LSD :# . I just want my "standard" little stars (*) back. Where can I find the files for that and were do they belong (folder). First it seems I have to make sure I have those icons/files in the right place.

You'll have to look at default XVM & SirMax's mod configurations for that information.

 

I've never used the so-called "standard" little stars (*) your referring to, when lit up light bulbs or grey bulbs offer a greater contrast at a quick glance.

Edit:  For some unknown reason WoTlab's 'code quotation' feature introduces odd color patterns, which were not that there originally.

Reproducing my posts in the official forums on spotted markers. Please ensure that all of the sections mentioned below exist in your configs.

 

1. To begin, spotted markers are enabled in battle.xc:

"battle": {
    ...
    "allowSpottedStatus": true,
    ...
},

2. The markers are then displayed in the "ears", if included in extraFieldsRight under short / medium / medium2 / large in playersPanel.xc:

"extraFieldsRight": [
    ${"enemySpottedMarker"}
]

3. The formatting of the markers are is also defined in playersPanel.xc:

"enemySpottedMarker": {
    "bindToIcon": true, // true - x position is bound to vehicle icon, else to edge of the screen
    "alpha": 100, "x": -85, "y": -6,
    "format": "{{spotted}}", "shadow": {}
},

4. Finally, the behaviour of the spotted marker is defined in texts.xc. The config below displays an asterisk if the vehicle has never been spotted:

Don't think that works. Look at my link to the official forums - there's a guy who replicated all 4 sections under the appropriate headers in his single xvm.xc and he pasted his config there for reference.

That link to the post in the official forum lead to the right direction. Turns out for me the only part missing was the "spotted thingy" under texts

Next question - some time ago (months) the highlighting of the vehicle type icon in a squad stoped working for me. On minimap it works fine. But what do I have to change to also turn it "yellow" in the OTM

Under the "colors" section, do you have this line in blue?

I didnt had the whole "def" thingy in there. But pasting it into the config didnt help =(

I'm thinking the issue is in the "colors" section.

 

It should contain something like this (lines 3 and 15 being the ones likely relevant to your issue):

Hey guys o/

 

Is there a way to add a border around the tank names in teh hitLog section?

Change the text colour to something more visible?

No,

 

I want it for example to look like the IS-7 has a border around itself. Outline might be the more correct word for it.

Anybody using the zoom mod and suddenly realising that it does not zoom past bushes anymore?

 

Is there any way to re enable zooming through bushes? I need x ray Superman vision please thanks.

 

Edit: Oops realise this isn't really xvm config stuff sorry but any help will be appreciated.

 

It was deemed illegal by WG, so most zoom-mod makers removed it.

The problem is that there is only one "shadow" setting, which is black and applies to all the text in the hitlog.

 

So your solutions are (1) change the text colour for the tank names to something lighter so it works better with the black shadow, or (2) change all the text to dark colours and the shadow to something light so it looks like a glow outline.

Kind of new to configuring xvm and was wondering in which file and were I could config the minimap vehicle icons? I want to make them a bit bigger as they are so small and tried finding them in the xvm.xc file but no luck.
