Connecting to West to play against weaker players despite crappier experience (higher ping) = padding

In any FPS games (CS:GO, COD, BF3, BF4) connecting to server with higher ping for whatever reason is considered uber retarded.

Confirmed, no one actually lives on the west coast.

Also confirmed, good players can't play on both servers.

If you think he's actively padding, present your proof please. Or any of us for that matter. I live in California. I play on West almost all the time. Am I a padder now too? Is everyone west of the Mississippi River a padder?

I do not. I just wanted to point out, in a friendly manner, that those two points by the OP are sort of contradicting each other.

And of course, WEST players playing on WEST is not padding:-))).

They would, if his location was listed as Baltimore, not Seattle.

Played 2 times with Smylee on the eastern server. He drove through the red team like a harvester on steroids. 8/9 and the other evening 7/8.

He doesn't need to pad. He just crushes them with skill.

It's a meta thing. I live on west coast, but I still play on east a lot of the time, for either toons or solo'ing. Yes I have higher ping, but I switch servers all the time if I feel like my teams or my performance is shit. Can it make a difference? Maybe, maybe not. But I still feel like it does change, so I still go with it.

And that is also implying that there are no good players on either server. West is full of purple's post-primetime at high tiers.

I'd take higher skilled players over worse ping any day of the week (10 ms vs 100ms? WEST COAST BEST COAST). Plus, I still farm WN8 at an acceptable rate.
