Winter mode OP

So with the new winter mode, an average game lasts about 2 minutes and 30 seconds. Given that I am able to do the required damage within that time period, this means that within an hour I can play 25 games, earning 1.5k exp each game.

1.5k x 25 = 37.5k xp. Plus you get the 25k xp bonus for completing 25 games. This means that within 1 hour I can make 62.5k free xp without having to worry about winrate, wn8, and all that bullshit. Of course, there's a limit to how many times I can get the 25k bonus for every 25 games (5 times I think). But this essentially means that before this event ends in the beginning of February I will be able to earn AT-LEAST  312,500 exp without having to give a shit about the bad teams and bots in pubs while not having to stress over winrate and my stats. 

 

*Note that to convert 312,500 exp to free xp I will need 12,500 gold.

To be honest, i really think training a good crew for a tank is better than free xp. You will get free xp easily when you are playing your normal elite tanks. But yeah, you mentioned that you are just playing one hour a day so free xp in your case is not that bad.

It's rather easy to get the 20-30k rewards though. Also, 250k after 25(?) battles I believe?

Free XP is easy to get and there's always a glut of it.

 

4k crew XP per game on the other hand means a new sixth sense commander every 25 or so games....

Platoon up mate, platoon 15k damage missions is MORE exp than individual missions. Just get 4 others and go.

 

@RutgerS -> Mammoth crew = US heavy = T110E5 crew (free change to E5), Artic Fox goes to LTTB (Russo light), Polar Bear goes to Foch (French TD).

 

Planning on grabbing some 6th sense commanders myself. Will consider the rest of the crew as well... I may leave the crew on and switch only commander or switch entire crews...

Yep, I'm just grinding 3 new crews as well with sixth sense on the commander.

 

But I just do solo's, platoons take too long.  Just yolo to where you know the enemies are (in randoms always near base), do the damage, die fast, exist battle, REPEAT

Let's not forget that you get double crew XP for whatever reason (at least with premium) which results in 3k XP per battle and 50k crew experience for the 25k mission

Slap on accelerated crew training and Mentor and you're in for a hell of a ride

For those people saying there's always lots of freexp, there isn't.

I'm always starved of freexp for my tonks. I will gladly spend 1 hour a day to get 312k freexp and spend the 12k gold on it. I will be able to get a bunch of new tanks or elite up existing tanks to the point where they are grindable. 312k xp is not 'freely available' thats a shitton of regular games. What the hell makes you think that there's always lots of it??

For people with high battle counts, free xp is the least of our worries. Can totally see why people with sub10k battles would enjoy it, though.

 

Honestly this event isn't all that useful for me, I have crews galore and unconverted XP is so meaningless to me that I've thrown away tens of millions of the stuff on crew training. One thing I was missing was an LT crew, though. RU LTs have been worthless since the T-50-2 was removed, so I havent had one in ages. I expect many other people did the same - retrained their T-50-2 crew to one of the millions of T-62A copies that were flooding in.

It is maybe just me but i am converting my unconverted free xp atleast once a month. Last time i did this it was Christmas. Now just from playing elite tonks i am again at 350k. But i have to agree that it is OP to farm free xp, but honestly i am using this for a good murican crew which i can use in the future.

There are rumors about some buffs incoming for T-54 LT. Probably reload and soft stats buffs.

It won't turn it into a wrecking machine, but a buff is a buff.

I just want to bump my E5 over to the 6th skill. Not for any particular reason, but because I think it'll be cool/fun. That said, I need about 1,000,000 more xp to do so (I'm on 96% on the 5th), so events like this make my effort worth a lot more.

In one night I earned enough free xp to unlock the BL 10 for my ISU I just got this weekend. Must say im kinda happy about that. Whats funny is the 300k converts to 12k gold and there just so happens to be a 12k gold package in the shop weird.
