Coming out of the closet

Last night, while at a party, I finally came out to my college friends. After 5 minutes of mirror pep talk in the bathroom, I stood up on a chair, got everyone's attention, and I just sort of yelled it. I still have a very religious family and more groups of friends to reach, but this is just my first step. If you are borderline about coming out, trust in you friends, they will love you for who you are. Peace and blessings to everyone, and to those still not ready, good luck and be bold.

Just kidding dude, well done! I am glad it went okay for you. Coming out you will probably hit some rough patches but people who really love you will love you no matter what.

 

(Easy for me to say though, as a kid I grew up not knowing different than that my 2 uncles who lived together were both my uncle... people in the Netherlands are generally easier about these things than people in the US I think.)

My two best buds are (to say it politically correct) "out of the closest" and have been for a while, and I don't treat them any different I would anyone else. 

 

I think it took guts to say it in front of a big crowd at a party. Congrats man.
