help picking a VIII-X Heavy for HT-15

Assumptions:

 - i realize only an idiot would grind a X to try and complete the HT-15 mission.  i am that idiot.  Gentlemen, they rebuilt me.  they had the technology.  Missions must be cleansed from list or my e-peen shrinks

 - i will gladly take advice on the the T8 prems i have, or T8-9 that would also work for the mission, but I have tried (well around 30 games, not a huge amount) and i fear my tonk-fu is just not strong enough.

 

I had been planning on my next X being a heavy anyways, so this is only 94% as idiotic as it sounds.  

 

Ive been trying to do HT-15 with my T8 prems.  googling made it sound like a wz-11 could do this in under 2 minutes, and i havent been able to get more than 5300 in matches i consider some of my better work. i will of course keep trying to get it done in the wz-111, or whatever people advise, but i think Id rather stop working on my 50B and just get this mission done, then go back to the 50B.  so i am in the market for a new X to aim for.

 

Current T8 prems with which i am having no luck

Drunken_walrus' wz-111 guide and videos was freaking awesome.  it greatly increased my skill lvl with it.  theres a tiny chance now i can complete it in the wz-111, but i dont think im there yet skill wise.  sad to say.

 

If you think any of those have a better chance than the wz-111, please holler.  if not, ill keep using the wz-111 hoping to pull off a miracle as i work on a X to try and do it more easily (again i wanted a hvy anyways, so this isnt too OCD amanda bynes)

am i right that the 50b has no chance in hell of doing this mission? (given my low 50s skill lvl)

assuming the 50b needs to be back burnered, can i get advice on which of those 4 other candidates would work?  Id really prefer the is-4 or e5 if possible but frankly i like all of those candidates

 

or is my only chance going e-100 since im noob.

I did my HT-15 in an E75 (I did it twice, the first time the mission wasn't active....).  Wasn't too hard. If you get a top tier game, get to the main brawling zone. Chances are there will be a ton of 122mm Russian guns you can bounce with an E75 (or other well armored heavy).  The alpha of that gun makes it easy to finish out if people die.  If you are looking for a T10, the E100 will be the easiest (best armor and massive alpha), the IS4/IS7 should also work well. I'd think a T9 ST-I would have no trouble doing this either.  With some luck I'd think a WZ-111 and/or 112 could pull it off, or any of your American hull down heavies (T32/M103).  Damage helps with this one, but you have to be able to SURVIVE.  Not many people can do 8k with any tank, so you need armor to help you bounce shots to count towards finishing it along with your damage.

Maus, VK 45.02B, E 100, IS 7, E75, T110E5 are all candidates for this mission (almost any tier 10 heavy except T57 and 113). At tier 8 I think 110 and 111 with IS-6 have some chances. IS-3 in hulldown against really bad players. I did mine in E100 in first game and later improved result in E5 twice and few times in IS 7.

I got the damage number on the VK B and E 75 more times than I cared to keep mental note of.

 

I also had a game totaling ~9500 on the Tiger II but that was a total freak accident.

Anything with decent armour makes it easier however you can likely do it in most heavies at tier 8 and above. I did it twice in a Caernarvon and once in an IS-6.

Just do 3k damage, (done in 4 shots)

Block 3-4k damage

and die (another 2.7k damage)

 

Mission complete.  They are super easy in the E-100

I did it a couple of times in a T32 and have come close in a T29. My son has done it several times in his KV-4. Its really about putting the right tank in the right situation and waiting for some compliant (i.e. dumb) red tanks.

Top tier, a hull down T32 or sidescraped kv-4 is like a beacon for retards.

I've done ht15 in the T110E5 FV215b IS7 and E100. Imagine the IS4 is also a good option.

I did ht 15 in my t32, in a tier 10 game, with out spamming gold. (Were only a few tier 10s, and only meds). Map was redshire and spawned south, so there were really gud hulldown spots, and got 5k DMG. And the TDs kept shooting my turret. You could probably do it in a monster t34 game but its gun handling is so bad I'm not sure

I actually did my StuG HT15 in my 112, purely in damage bounced. It was an epic sand river defence game, no arty.

The first heavy that springs into mind when I read the description for HT15 has to be Maus. Even if you do nothing and die that's already 3k.

I did mine in an E-100. You should have no problem getting it in that tank.
