So by popular demand(Zinn asked for one), I am making this thread where you can boast about your exploits in WoWS. Or if you're like me you can complain about how terrible you are because of that one mistake you made that cost a game.

 

So to start this off I have a domination game in my Aoba where I'm quite certain my team lost because I screwed up at the end and got myself killed.

I ended up focusing too much on the Pensecola and Farragut/Cleveland and sailed out into the open where their Fuso had shots on me. The Fuso finished me off with only two volleys while I managed to bring him down to ~20% of his hp, but the Langley's weren't fast enough with their bombers to kill him before his team capped out.

Aww yis, it's happening!

 

This loss was pretty annoying because I felt like I could have destroyed the entire enemy fleet, lel, but they did the right thing by capping in the end:

I had fought my way to their back lines and killed their carriers, along with a destroyer along the way. I must have dodged 30+ torps during my assault on those two because a cruiser was also on my tail, firing torps and aiming his shells poorly in general. Nailed the two carriers and then the cruiser but I could have done it a lot faster by loading HE vs carrier #2. Not too salty about it because I had a lot of fun and the experience difference tells that my guns were practically never silent.

Ted, I know it's MM fault, but god that is evil, 2 Yamatos' in a T8 battle.

 

you missed it dump my Yamato and the one essex in game on the same team.  we lost, because it was 6v10 on a domination map, I went off north to attempt to 1v2 some T7 cruisers, entire team decided decided to follow me. and abandon the southern caps.

Quite frankly, some pubbies play like in wot, thrusting forward, fire 2 salvoes, and die.

 

In the mean time, I get all worked up in my DD, run around and end up beaching myself on a side of an island. :)

Too early in the meta to say, but I'd say it had the potential to if the unfuck cruiser durability and ignore the whining pubbie BB drivers.

It is fun and refreshing, and has the potential to grow, if they actually start making "different" maps and random spawn locations.

also the increased ability of lower tiers to have an influence in the game compared to tanks is nice.  one Yamato game I made the mistake of ignoring a Nagato to focus on the enemy Yamato, he did ~60k HP of damage to me that game.

I wish i had the screenshot of the game i had in the Yam the other day. 6 guys on the other team and i manage 2/3 of them (mostly fuso's =p) then the loan dd sneaks of the middle to take our cap obviously. 

Politely ask all the pubbies who followed me to get back to our cap to get the reset, of course that doesn't happen and right when he's about to cap one of my pubbie's gets on global chat to announce "We lost because our Yamato did nothing".

 

Yeah that's why i gave up trying to get my x1.5 on that.

Forgot to take SS's, but started the Jap cruiser line. On the Kuma, get in to a match with DyingDyingDead. Not used to torps at all yet, wasn't paying attention, he was sailing to my port, parallel with me, i spotted an enemy cruiser ~8km away, lead the shot, launched....and 2 of them nuked Dying's destroyer....I'm red@warships. I did go on to carry the match after though, so there's that I guess.

 

Another game this morning. Pop was low, so MM was a bit screwy. Playing the Fuso, come around an island on the west side of the map, bam, 4 ships right there waiting. Some DD I didn't see long eoungh to identify, a Phoenix, and 2 Myogi's. Immediately 1-salvo HE the DD from full HP, dodge the 3 torps he got off at me, reload HE again, do the same to the Phoenix as I'm dodging his torps, load AP and 2-salvo both the Myogi's while they're trying to surround me. Yay, I'm a beast. Move in towards enemy base, LOLNOPE, Lexington and Amagi. Just ignored the Amagi, since I knew I had no chance of killing him before I died. Focused HE on the Lexington, and killed him literally 1km before he rams me, then get the last half of my HP raped by the Amagi. Was a GG, ended in a draw.

Was playing a game with the labbers on Saturday. Went 10-6 down and then oneshot three DDs with AP. We lost because our brain dead team failed to cap anything (we capped A and held it all match).

I'm going to wait until DD's get some torpedo range buffs across the board before I even bother installing.  Do want minimum of 10-12km max range for DD torpedoes for all tiers. I r bad at battleships and don't care for cruiser / carrier game play, every time I play anything other than DD's it is a fail carry game.

I'm finding BB's pretty reliable to carry in, especially the Fuso. I think the Nagato may end up being a beauty as well. The Cruisers for Murica aren't bad, the Cleveland is just foolishly good at annihalting aircraft, and it's DPM makes 1v1'ing BB's easily viable if you can dodge their return fire. It does truly terrible things to other cruisers and DD's as well.

nice nagatoe salvo will keel u tho.  Decided to go to cap A on the iceberg map.  know they have a destroyer and cruiser on/near cap and a battleship just watching.  Go deep, use OP scout plane to see over icebergs.  pop out and oneshot dd with one turret and the cruiser with two others.  Cap A feelin like a baws.
