  1. 1. How massive is Garbad's epeen?

    • Fucking huge -- it can fill all my holes and then some
    • Tiny, obviously compensating for his RL size

What are the biggest adjustments to your gameplay you've had to make in 8.6?

For the obj 268,

A. Optics or vents for the third slot (First two are Rammer and GLD)

B. Unicum DPG for it?

C. Solo pubbable?

How long will you continue to play this game?

Why don't you play more light tanks?

Now that arty is at a reasonable level, what is the next most pressing thing WG should fix?

Are you RO'ed on the WoT forum?

Always.  I think this RO is for saying russia lost the cold war.  Yup.

What are the biggest adjustments to your gameplay you've had to make in 8.6?

Tactics matter more and maps open up without so much retarty.  Also more rage inducing pubbie snapshots.  Also gold spam costs more, especially in tanks like my KV5 (Q___Q).  But on the whole, its a major improvement.

C. Solo pubbable?

A.  Optics.  I've completely rejected vents except under limited conditions. GLD or optics > vents.

B.  3299.  Super unicum would start at ~4k.

C.  Yes.

Hodor?

"Hodor," agreed Hodor.  But his name was actually Walder.

1.  Until I get bored of it or find a new game.  I am currently also playing eve and looking forward to RTW3.

2.  Because people shit bricks if I try to bring a light tank to a stat padding platoon. I don't like low tiers, and solopub in the chaffee loses massive silver.  My wz 132 I play basically only in TC these days.  That leaves pretty much my Type 62 solopub, which I play but not as often as some tanks.  Besides, a lot of my "scout" games are in mediums like T-44, T-54, Batchat, etc.

3.  Honestly, I don't see any desperate pressing needs atm.  I can think of fine tuning, but nothing game ruining atm.

Oops! Sorry, I meant to say optics or binocs. I, also, have pretty much rejected vents.

What am I doing so terribly wrong in the T69?  Why am I not falling in love with this tank like the T71

The tank is superb, I don't know how anyone can hate it.  Other than the obscene cost of running full gold, its pmuch the perfect tank.

Oops! Sorry, I meant to say optics or binocs. I, also, have pretty much rejected vents.

I've stopped using binocs except in limited situations. Here's why:

- Assuming a view range of 400m, a tank with proper skills (bia+recon+sit) and optics can spot at 470m.

- This means you can negate ~5.5% camo and STILL spot at max range

- Almost no tank has over 5.5% camo firing, regardless. So anyone shooting is within spotting range (setting aside bush usage atm, remember bushes negated within 15m).  Binocs add no value to this.

- Even a tank with extremely good base camo, a camo crew, and insig such as a T-44 will be spotted moving at 400m or more.

- So pretty much, you can spot anyone moving at a safe distance, and possibly even view range kite.

- Thus, binocs are superfluous against all tanks while firing and are not necessary against most td/heavy/even some meds while moving.

- Spotting a stationary, non firing tank in a bush before you are seen is practically impossible. Plus with binocs this would require somehow getting into range and getting still without being seen -- not likely.  Neither are practically effective spotting passive scouts or the like, so don't bother.

- The only time binocs outperform optics is when you are trying to spot a high camo light/med moving AND you need to see him at 400m+ (you could see out to 422).

So basically, unless you have a MAJOR need to spot heavily camoed scouts, optics gives the same results and works while moving.  Thus, the utility of spotting while moving seems better than additional ability to spot moving scouts at max range.  Plus binocs suck on TDs who have to make constant hull adjustments to get firing lines.

Exceptions:

- You have a ghetto crew (can't run view range skills/bia)

- You have a ghetto base view range (370 or less)

- You are poor and are using a low tier, temporary tank

- You are a dedicated anti scout and NEED to intercept moving scouts with optimal ability

- You are a dedicated bush camping passive scout, and know that 1) you will always get to your bush first and 2) dont care about active spotting because you wont ever leave that bush regardless

TL;DR -- For general use, optics > binocs.

What do you think of asians.

I was racist against chinese food until earlier this year, but I have since seen the error of my ways.  Kimchi and sushi still suck tho.

Are you still doing Garbad university where if someone pays you 6500 gold you will platoon with them for a night?

T-62A in pubs - overestimated? I hear a lot of talk about it being one of, in not THE best T10 medium, but I find that it's just not a pubstar.

I feel like the T57 makes most every damage-centric tank in my garage (TDs/Heavies) obsolete. Pulling out 4/5k DPG is neither difficult nor expensive with the T57, while doing the same in, say, the 268 or E-100, is considerable work and/or comes at a considerable expense. Do you feel this is accurate, or am I overvaluing the T57 and/or damage?

I read your post on magic vision with the T-44 in the main forums and loved it.

Would it be possible to you to list your skill setup / equipment for a T-54?

Would you be able to provide any replays for me to watch on the T-54?

Whats the purpose of ingame public chat?

What do you think about account roaming, will stronk ru clans sweep the floor when account moving becomes available?

During which patch have you enjoyed the game most, why?

I think I figure it out. Sadly I couldn't carry much harder

Considering that, what are your thoughts on tier 4 light tanks showing up in tier 8 games? It has never really felt right in my opinion. I would like to see light tanks receive the same revamp arty did where they play with their own tiers. It is such a slap in the face to new players who don't know how to scout yet in their own tiers, let alone in a tier 8 game where they will die in 1 hit.

T-62A is the perfect medium, with all their strengths and weaknesses.  It may not carry as hard as an E5 or put out the DPG as a foch, but its still better than any other medium and can do things the foch/E5 can't.

T57 is extremely strong, but the alpha and armor of the big tds is still strong.  If anything, the field tipped back to TDs, although I still think the T57 is better overall.

And don't obsess with DPG -- its not the end all of skill/carrying, despite what the damage whores say.  Its a means to an end, and tanks contribute in different ways.  A 3.5k DPG E5 is likely contributing as much as a 4k DPG T57 because it can take hits and sustain its presence.  And a 3k DPG T62A may be carrying harder than either.

Are you still doing Garbad university where if someone pays you 6500 gold you will platoon with them for a night?

I suppose so.

Which do you prefer to judge tankers by, overall or 60 day stats?

I don't think either are useful except as a rough guide.  Last 5k games WN7 would be the best rough guide.  For anything else you need a large, recent sample in a specific tank under known conditions.

To cuss out arty.

Dunno what that is.

For tier 10 play, this is the golden age.  For tier 8 play, probably 8.5.  But its all been good.

Gotta click the MultiQuote on each post you want to quote, once you've selected them all click the "Reply to X quoted post(s)" on the pop-up window (little guy, bottom right for me)

Thanks for the answer and replays!  I'll sit down here in a bit and watch them!
