I always got stuck on the 'shoot x number of planes down' because I was mostly playing DDs. On the rare occasion I did bring a ship with potent AA there'd be no CVs. lol

By the way I love on the World of Warships Facebook page all the people posting the awesome rewards from cargo containers like Tirpitz, Gremy, Nikolai, etc... And I'm all just sitting here with my 5 cans of Halloween Camo and 5 Sierra Mike flags. lol

It didn't take long to start seeing divisions of two Atlantas and a Fiji.  Perpetual smoke with flamethrowers and machine gun AP.  GGWP Wargaming.  I'm this close to uninstalling Warships.

Yeah some of the teams are pretty dumb. I've been lucky in some of the matchups so I don't feel like I've been punished as severely as you and Das_Schlippo have been. Last night I quit on a loss in the Kirov 3 kills 102K damage, high caliber, confederate. Just breathtaking how fast some teams melt. I was just disgusted.

I'm pretty sure my teams are made out of bots programmed to sail into the nearest torps while calling everyone a faggot in an exciting variety of eastern european languages and broken english. I thought it'd be a good time to play my König what with all the cruisers around. Rocking 9 losses in it in a row right now.

I mean I'm bad at this game so I don't expect to carry matches, but the MM could at least give me a chance.

I am done for a month or so - maybe more.

I have never claimed to be a good player, I am often decent and normally above average, but right before Hurricane Matthew and since I have had my internet restored - I cannot win a game without absolutely carrying like a beast, and I am not a beast mode player.

In the last 7 days, I have 33 games spread out, and it's an overall 27% win rate, versus my previous 53/54% win rate.  The week prior to the hurricane - Struggled to get to 45% with no rhythm at all.

My two games today in my Gremaschy reminded me of why I left WoT, the first game we were down by 6 ships before we killed a bottom tier cruiser, and ended up losing 12-2, with me barely doing 30k damage before getting 5 v 1'ed.  The second game had me killing 3 ships and doing 78k damage, but we still lost 11-3 on points as soon as I died.  Number 1 and 3 for xp, and two losses - with my previous wins only being from teams that failed more spectacularly than my own.  Maybe I have forgotten how to play, maybe the meta has changed, but as a solo player, it feels more like my matchmaking has changed more than anything else.

It's possible I have always been a 49% player, that has somehow gamed the system long enough to get a win rate better than my skill, but that seems unlikely given the number of matches ( 1800+ ) I had previously played.  I played WoT and currently WoWs to win, that is my enjoyment - however casual my investment might be.  While I enjoy some PVE time, it has never been enough to get me to invest money in the game to get it going - so if I stop playing PVP, it's over for me and for Wargaming.

Anyway, I am off on a binge of playing Strategic Command 3 beta and then Civ VI, I don't suspect will try ships again until December.  I am interested in any theories ( both scientific and psychological ) that people have as to why I have suddenly started sucking so badly, I am open to any idea - just don't be too savage in your appraisal!
