  1. 1. Who is more of a retard?

Interesting but still doesn't take into account the things that can swing a battle, or Spotting damage, cap reset etc...Just looks like another damage.kill metric.

Can see a lot more "Chai" snipping now to get your damage in before moving.

Not really much anyone can do about that though.  All metrics are inherently flawed.

You can't be best in server at dealing damage and being a CHAI sniper. It just doesn't work like that. You need to be leading at the front for the longest possible time. CHAI sniping is only ever useful when you're making a last stand in a guaranteed loss game.

They can only work with what's in the API too. So sadly no spotting.

Ehh, still promotes degenerate play. You will be handsomely rewarded if you let your teammates die while you farm damage behind the fight then cleanup with no competition for the remaining enemy HP. Doesn't matter if you win or lose as long as you cannibalize your team's targets.

Edit: Can we get a "fuck all metrics" option? Otherwise I guess the default would be WN8 since it's already implemented. Don't care for either, though.

Still a stat padding metric. I know they are working with the API provided by WG, but there is more to winning a battle then damage/kills.

This is pretty much the kewei rating -- how close is your dpg to server top.  But I consider that a lot more valuable for epeening than arbitrary expected values.  And if its impossible to pad, so much the better.

And dpg based metrics will always be flawed, but people still love them.

Before praetor left, we discussed making a mean and variance scaled system - but kudos to the XVM guys for putting in the effort to code one. Seems very useful as comparing per-tank values with a unified rating is something WN8 isn't valid for even though everyone does it. Its nice to have DPG and KPG scaled across tanks. Is there an external website using this yet? I don't want to install XVM to inspect if I can avoid it.

Unfortunately spotting is a WG API limitation...look at this potato game...

5k spotting but only 1300 dmg...so WN8 = potato.

It needs to include spotting damage and win rate. Then it's perfect.

Even just winrate (since spotting is not completely possible) would look like an improvement.

It needs to include spotting damage and win rate. Then it's perfect as good as possible given WG shitty record keeping and the effects of history and maturation.

 FTFY

Couldn't the XVM mod track the solo win rate of everyone, by the way? There's at least one XVM user in every single battle above tier 1. Knowing everyone's solo win rate would really help metrics like this.

As good as possible means it's perfect as the rating itself does not have any flaws (i.e. it's flawless which means exactly the same as perfect).

There is a large, ongoing debate on including other variables, including win rate, base exp/game, and defense points.  They have a second version to compare but the majority of the russians prefer only damage/kills.

I've got your data pulled up if you have a specific question.  Your most played tanks are 90-95ish.  Some shitters.  You are a top 100 server player in IS-6, 212, 261, T32, M48, and E-100.
