How do you tell what you recent Wn8 in a particular tank is? Most of the Clans I'm thinking of applying to want to see something along the lines of "recent in CW capable tanks"

I'm one of those geniuses who figured he had T10 tanks all figured out, bought a bunch of them, then sold them all because "they sucked" .

Have now bought most of them back and I'm getting better results, but... those first few hundred games kinda screw things over when trying to raise stats.

What those clans mean by "recent in CW capable tanks" is you meeting their stat requirements IN the tanks they use in clan wars.  So as an example if a clan uses the 113/215b/140/Batchat in clan wars or does tier 10 clan wars in general, your average tier better be 10 and no less than 9.7 in your last 1000 battles.  No use finding a padding tank as if the clan is actually competent they will eval you next and see how you play.  If you show that "oh I do play at X level" to the evalers you are in essentially.

Long answer but that's the gist of it.

Thanks, that helps.

Of course if you stupid clan wars people would use the T10's I have, that would be easier. Have had the batchat unlocked for like a year, probably should actually buy it at some point.

And the 215B gets CW use? That's cool, loved the Conq so same gun with better soft stats should be fun.

Here are the clan wars tanks in use now currently, metas will change depending on what tanks get nerfed/buffed.

Tier 10: 113, IS7, Maus, 215b, RU meds (140 preferably or 907), batchat will always be a staple, STRV 103B, 263, E3

Tier 8: IS3, OBJ252u/Defender, Patriot/T26E5, Liberte/AMX M4 49, LTTB, LORR 40t (premiums are more viable these days than the regulars)

Tier 6: Type 64, OI, Cromwell

Haven't played for a while, what happened to the 50B?

How come the 215b, obj 263, and e3 are being used? I don't remember those tanks ever being that highly regarded (other than maybe the 215) and still don't seem to be according to posts im reading on wotlabs, what am I missing?

How do you play the AT-2 line in the current meta? I'm only at the AT-2, but open maps like Redshire are brutal because the tank is incredibly slow, 450 hp vanishes really quick to arty at every tier, and you don't have many options where you can go when you get stuck as the lowest tier.

I have a question regarding VR, skills that affect it, Camo and also a question of Russian T-X mediums.

First off, when you buy coated optics and the such, they state the maximum view range is around 435Meters or 445? I tend to mix these two numbers, so, basically my question is, if you have a tank with base 400VR and you buy an equipment, basically it caps at the limit the equipment states right? SO, what happens if I also get skills that affect VR like Recon or Situational Awareness? Will it get further from the limit or it will still be capped at the 445M limit thing?

This is important for me because, tanks like the AMX 50 120 have good VR so putting equipment usually maxes it, so giving it crew skills would seem useless? I hope my question is coherent.

Also, how does camo exactly works? many times I find myself sitting behind a bush (and bush isnt transparent) I shoot and get detected even tho all my crew folks have camo skill, does that mean someone in the other team has super VR and I simply get into their range? I also read shooting decreases your camo values?

The last question is, Russian tier 10's, right now, for current meta purposes and overall PUB enjoyment, which one is more viable? Obj 140 or the T62A?

Thanks a bunch!

WZ-111 model 5A or 113?

Yes. 5A is stronger than 113, but both are good and worth it. Pro'ly want to keep the 1-4, too.

Hard cover >>>> anything else. Vision control, and let your pubbies spot for you if no cover. Think 2nd/3rd line support for heavy forces, both due to speed and to let your armor work for you. Have liberal APCR for BT 6/7, and pretend to be a heavy for BT 5 matches.  Howitzer can get big damage, but is glacial for aim and sniping. 6 Pdr is much more consistent, and IMO, the better option.

Thanks a bunch!

I’m on the phone so I can’t post threads and quotes (cancer mobile editor).

VR can be maxed out 455m is max VR, but after that you burn easily camo of enemies e.g. T62A will outspot you before than 450m T62A simply because base VR is greater (VR - camo factor).

So maxing out VR is good option on every tank especially on meds and LTs.

When you sit behind bush (non transparent one, 15m+) this only adds to camo bonus (also all bushes are not the same, wotinfo i think has values), and with that camo you are exposed to their VR. This means if you have good base camo with added bushes you can fire and be unspotted but you can’t hide Maus and chai snipe. No matter what bush you hide behind.

Also tanks have spots for spotting here is video.

So, I've 13,100 gold left, after converting the living fuck out of it for equipment. Which premiums should I pick up, if any, while on sale? Looking for fun/profit, as I've solid crews on every line in the game. For ease, I'll only list those that are for sale in-game, and that I don't already have.

DE - Steyr WT, Panther/M10, VK 45.03
GB - AT 15A
FR - AMX CDC (sold once for 34-3), M4A1 Rev
JP - STA-2
CN - WZ-120-1 FT, 112
SW - Strv S1, Strv m/42-57 (no devoted Swde Med crew currently, though the IV-VII weren't painful)

IMO (so, yeah not that important) hte WZ120FT is one of the best premiums in the game. Great DPM, can snipe, can brawl, fast, great camo, good VR, trollish armor..

I'd say the Rev, S1, or WZ120FT

Bought the WZ 120. 2 matches, this is gonna be fun.

Have 5,966 gold left - Steyr WT, Panther/M10, M4A1 Rev, STA-2?

Leaning towards Panther/M10 - Pref MM and not Tier VIII seems pretty tasty. Plus, the gun works on the E-25, should be decent on a turret.

Hopefully, the right topic:

Is there really no thread about the HWK (tier 8 german light)?

Searching "HWK" ends with no hits.

Q: Is it possible to park an ELC on the roof of an E100 while keeping both tanks operational?

No. ELC would slowly lose health till death.

Collision works by basically creating a HE explosion at the point of impact that only affects those colliding for damage calculating purposes. The size of the explosion is determined by the total mass of the two tanks and their speed. The ratio of the weight determines how big the explosion is for either tank. As such, the primary determinants for ramming damage is weight, speed and armour of the participants.

When the ELC is parked on the E100, the ELC will be affected much more by the constant "collision" and without any armour, it'll bleed to death.

Four and a half year later and I finally see it for myself - both participants DED  :D
