  0.9.7.4 - Initial Public Offerin

Initial Installation Instructions

 - Download the installer: http://webster-image.com/wot/juhaas-essentials-mod-pack-installer.zip (500kB)
 - Plop unzipped contents anywhere
 - Run the included installer application found within*

Subsequent Mod Pack Update Installation Instructions

 - Run the installer application
 - Select "Check For Mod Pack Updates" from the Tools menu
 - Confirm download prompt if necessary
 - Click Install button to update all previously mods

(*)The installer fetches mod pack data from webster-image.com. Make sure your firewall/AV software allows it. Mod pack data size currently stands at around 20MB). More than likely you will need to Run as Administrator. Works on Windows 7, 8.1 and 10 w/o issues. At minimum .NET 4.5.1 is required which all Windows 7 or newer OS machines should already have. The installer creates and deletes various files and directories (within game client and own folder) which may trigger an AV alert.

WoT Mod Installer Updates

Later versions of the mod pack may require an updated version of the WoT Mod Installer and will see the message from the installer application to that effect after attempting to download the updated mod pack data. In order to continue with mod pack installation:

 - Select "Update Mod Pack Installer Application" from the Tools menu
 - Follow prompts
 - Restart installer to complete and install the mod pack as usual.

Looks very clean, nice pack!

Very very nice.  The only thing I changed is base color (blue/orange) and adding player name above allies (for stronks).

[...] player name above allies (for stronks).

Yea, I was actually thinking of messing with that so it works depending on the battle type. Having said and since I really don't play strongs or CW, could someone do me a solid and post a replay of a stronks and CW battle so I could have something to test with?

Decided to try this modpack just for the keks and turns out I really do like this config, way more than Promod which I used for a long time. Just a few little problems I personally encountered: I can't see the spotted marker (the lightbulb) on the player panel nor the small overall WN8 and WR markers. Would love to get these to work, tried to check the .xc files but couldn't find out why they werent showing up.

Personally the minimap "last seen" markers are too lightly colored but this should be easily remedied by just tweaking the color code myself. All in all, this is a great modpack and I didn't even notice a huge FPS drop what is usually a problem for me when using modpacks with lots of differences to the vanilla interface. Only thing I'd add to the pack is some zoom setting variants but you are on NA and IIRC some zoom settings are banned there? Anyhoo, thanks for the modpack, hope you keep updating!

Thank you for the feedback Deksu. I haven't tested the pack on the EU/RU server since few patches ago so maybe there is an issue. I'll give it a go and see what the problem might be. Yes, the Last Seen bothers me too a bit. The problem I found was that so far if it was darker it would make the minimap a mess of dots. But it is something I'm tweaking. [resolved]

As for including mods such as zoom and others. It 's possible although there are some considerations to be made:

  1. The mod pack is pretty much (there are few extras) what I compiled, maintain and use myself. So I know things are working right (or should). There is an option to add your private mods (or overrides) to the installer, and though it's not too complicated I've yet to write a manual for that.
  2. I don't want to pollute the installer with a shit ton of mods for the sake of quantity. WSIWYG, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, I realize. If so, there are plenty of excellent other packs available to choose from.
  3. There are some which I tried using but resulted in significant FPS drops. XVM is already a big offender of that but at least it provides significant benefits.
  4. And then, there is a question of legality on different regions. The installer I wrote cannot yet detect the home region so I have to stay with what's allowed on NA. Going forward this may change, which may allow slight variations in deployed content depending on the locale.

Anyhow, thanks for your comments and support.

Installed it and i really like it.

A few Things i would like to have an option to switch to, or maybe changed?

- Can i have a 24hour Watch in garage? im in Europe soo :)

- The hits received log, could you change "Hull", "track" etc. information into name of player that hit me? much more usefull information especially in stronks

- Can i have friendly OTM including name (Again for stronks) instead of win8 number? maybe add win8 as a Square like Aslain does.

If a person is unspotted by opponents, giving out that information via a Hitlog with a person's individual name is illegal at present on the NA server.   That is why juhaas did not include the 'name of player that hit you'.

Yea, therein lies the crux of the matter.

However, I will be writing up a document on how you can modify that (and other things) w/o actually changing the mod pack itself and having to do it after every update. So for you EU lot, since nothing seems forbidden then you will be able to get your information. ATM I just can't detect the game install home region so providing alternate config with this and other such things is not possible.

- Can i have a 24hour Watch in garage? im in Europe soo :)

I feel you but again, once I write up the help for the installer, you'll be able to do it in 2 min flat. Or, if and when I'm able to detect the home region, I can then do it automagically. I may be able to write up what you need to do here once I get off work in about 8hrs, check back later.

The config is set up to detect Pub and Non-pub games. For non-pub games the player name on the allied team is displayed instead of the tank name. Give it a test and it should work. If it doesn't let me know.

i got a problem with new installer :

6ZpNpHv.jpg

i press "close"

adcjIVQ.jpg

ocR6MBn.jpg

so basically, everything is dowloaded in my temp folder but installer doesn't recognize it. last time i installed it (before 0.9.8.1) everything was working fine. do you have to manually copy the files to destination folder or what?

No you do not have to copy anything manually. What you need to do is update the installer from TOOLS->Update Installer Application. I thought the 1st message box gave you prompt to update the installer a la "Update Now" & "Close", not just "Close", slight oversight, but essentially that is what you need to do. The older installer could not cope with the new 4 segment version folder so it can't find it. You mod pack data seems fine. Let me know how it went.

For all you Eurojunkies:

Then:

  • Open the downloaded zip file and put the contents (actual folder not just contents of it) into your private mod repository folder "0.9.8.1.private". It will look along these lines (your location will obviously be different:

RQsk23R.png

Go back to the installer and select TOOLS -> Reload Mod List and you will end up with the entry highlighted in yellow:

Q7EDk0H.png

This is now your private mod managed by the installer and installed alongside my mod pack, but not actually a part of it. You are responsible for maintaining that mod, updates to the mod pack will not overwrite or update it. For instance, once new WoT update comes in you will have to copy all contents from 0.9.8.1.private to new 0.9.9.private (or whatever the new version will be) and make sure that it is still working (it's a clock, not likely to change). Private mods appear in blue and are always at the bottom of the list (install hierarchy). Once you install it, your garage clock will be in the proper format:

RUhjzvb.png

- The hits received log, could you change "Hull", "track" etc. information into name of player that hit me? much more usefull information especially in stronks

Again, for Euros only (wink wink nudge nudge). Download the following zip(s) and follow the same procedure:

Again, this is now your private stuff, and given that GambitER is still working on his panel this may require changes. Inspect contents and see what I did there to be able to make corrections yourself in the future if they become necessary.

- Enjoy.

This is the downside to all of the session stats that I have seen, they all use local files rather than looking at an online resource

They all need to look at http://stat.modxvm.com/wn8.json- I suppose you could always manually update your own resources which is a nightmare!

/res_mods/configs/xvm/juhaas/battle.xc

change:

  "showAliveNotFrags": true

to:

  "showAliveNotFrags": false

As for stats discrepancies, unfortunately I can provide no help there. You should raise the issue with YasenKrasen creator (now in different hands too).
