Do you have a static IP set in your settings? The default gateway is typically the IP needed to connect to the router settings, like 192.168.1.1 for some models, where your personal IP may be 192.168.1.101 or something. Your phone might have a different default gateway than your router so you'll have to change it manually.

Otherwise just set it to dynamic and it doesn't matter.

Didn't do anything, unless I set my IP/DNS wrong, but I don't know if I did or not, none of the guides said what to set it to/how to find it >:C

Did you try flushing your DNS in cmd? That often solves problems for me even if it doesn't say anything about the DNS.

I'll offer a deal:

Translate your smileys for us and I'll troubleshoot for you.

Fuck off, I already wasted 5 minutes doing that for nothing http://forum.wotlabs.net/index.php?/user/12901-cunicularius/

Won't the issue just occur again? Its not the first time I've flushed the dns.

For the sake of troubleshooting, did you try restarting your router and waiting 20 seconds before starting it up again? Yes I know, just try it anyways again

Check IP settings at Control Panel > Network and sharing Center > Change adapter settings > right click Wi-fi and click properties.Scroll down and click Internet Protocol Version 4. Properties should light up. Click it. If its not set to dynamic, set it to dynamic.

Router. Check temperature. If hot, your router has a fever turn it off for tonight. let it cool. If its not that, find the reset hole/button on your router and hold it for 10s.after,let the router start up and  leave the router be 5-10 minutes. if it doesnt work, chat with the guys that made the router. they usually have tech support

It may occur in the future, but it shouldn't just occur instantly. If the problem is fixable by flushing the DNS, then as far as I'm aware there's nothing you can do BUT flush the dns. It's not a matter of perma-fixing, it's just a matter of fixing until the DNS server fucks up again (I don't know the specifics, I just know it does fuck up from time to time).

I know the last dongle I had it used to overheat, perhaps it's overheating and needs to be unplugged for 5 minutes then plug it back in?

i'm sure you're ipconfig /flushdns didn't do much for you if it's not even getting to the gateway.

to get more info, perhaps use the following command and copy/paste here

ipconfig /all
