So about 8 months after WoT Asia brought the sale of the BTSV out,  they've just produced a PzIIJ package + 10k G + 10M cred + 30 days premium for $149 USD ($200AUD).

What's the general consensus you guys feel about this? Yes guilty,  I picked one up myself but I do feel as if this is the ultimate unbalanced tank and that this sale somewhat signifies WGs acceptance that WoT is all down hill from here.

While it is not as OP anymore with credit gold shells, Marder IIs and other 100mm pen TDs at its tier level, it is still something that I feel they shouldn't put on sale openly like this even at a top price despite the crowd begging for it.

I laugh when I see one while driving my T-127 (which costs almost nothing its so cheap).  I just load gold and proceed to fill it full of holes while it's pathetic gun bounces off my stronk soviet armor.

Honestly, the II J really isn't as good as advertised. Main reason being other seal clubbers with plenty of APCR/HEAT. However those aren't that much of a problem since you can still bounce a few rounds and outlast them. The newbie protection MM and resulting in most encounters being against seal clubbers/terribads and more T4 games is probably the main reason for its demise.
Or simply people who understood that you can flank it and shoot the hatch on the side of the tank with AP. Works with ~50mm of pen.

That said this thing is still incredibly fun to drive...

I had the chance to play a few games with one on a friend's account. It was funny to troll people but I didn't really enjoy playing the tank as much as I thought I would. Pretty slow and even its gold rounds suck. I played like 3 games then got tired of it.

Ive played it. Its gun is complete bullshit and the armor only lasts until you meet anything british or TD. 2pdr makes short work of 50mm lower plate armor.

10k gold+10 mil creds is 100USD (on discount the same period as the pz2j), and the 30 day prem acc is 11USD. so youre paying 34 USD on that tank alone along with that stuff you may or may not want.

 

personally, if it were 10k gold+ prem, and no/less creds and around 100USD i might have thought about it... but 150USD?

also if theyre willing to sell the pz2j for 150 bucks i would bet money that (IF it ever does go on sale), the type59 would be 200-250 bucks+

The irony is every time I meet one of those suckers they're blasting pure APCR and losing credits hand over fist. And thus every one is all, "TANK SO OP"! Well, load just about any tank with 100% gold ammo and try it, you can be OP without dropping $150 on it. I would wager the amount of trolling you could do with it if you actually knew how to utilize armor would be significant though, every player I've seen in it has yoloed forth and either won by the enemy team having no idea what to do or been ripped to shreds by gold ammo. I've yet to see one really leverage its armor intelligently.

I've only seen one. I was in my locust, he was on the enemy team. he drove up the middle of Karelia. I sat on the hill and spammed gold into his side. he died fast.

im surprised they haven't played the type card yet. they must be fearful of the backlash from other servers since they haven't. even thou our great and glorious leader tan did promise them at one point and they could have sold them in ridiculous packages that everyone would have still bought
