Team battles - How to?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys!

So today I created TB ranked team. Exciting as that might be we hopped into some battles, and long story short, team doesn't look too well at all. We're sitting at 44% WR(well, 50% 1st game we lost was qualifying game)

Yes, we played only 9 games. Yes the guys aren't blue/purple. Yes I made some bad calls. But overall, I feel we should win more easily, especially some teams we encountered.

My main concerns are initial positioning and how guys lack initiative to execute moves.

So, long story short, I'm looking for some general tips on how to play this mode(anything helps really), and if there is a need for it - I'll post some replays tomorrow.

//Moved to teamplay section -WW

Team battles my version and ranked is really no different IMO.

The caller is the keystone.  If your guys are not listening to your calls then yeah, it's over.  You can question it AS YOU ARE GOING to perform the call, but you do not get into an argument with the caller.  If the caller says push you fucking push, none of this poking bullshit.  Hopefully your guys are doing that :)

Next tank wise, T54 ltwts are the key light tank.  RU's are nice but are going to get melted quickly, T54 ltwts are the best lights, 2 or 3 are the standard usually.  Heavies it depends on the map and line-up attack you want to use.  IS3s and T32s if you want to have sustained attacking damage, 50100s are usually the all out support the push till they're spent then the push stops till they are loaded and ready again.  Personally I would run 2 ltwts, a 50100, and the rest IS3s and a T37.  But that's me :)

Positioning wise, it really depends on the enemy line up?  I mean if they are lightly armored and you're not you can afford to be a bit more aggressive, and if it's the other way around you have to be a bit more methodical and try to set up cross fires.

Hopefully this helps man, it's very vague and I apologize, but this is just from my experience in TB so far

Thanks for advice.

Another thing I should mention about ranked games - you have 1 minute after map loads up to change setup and ready up.
