Czech low tier tanks (tiers 1-5)

Recommended Posts

We don't have a thread for these yet, so it seems to be time for me to step in and make it.

This is a place to discuss:

•The gimpy (but super cute) MS-1

•The German tier 2 light tank

•The Pz. 38(t) with more turret armor and the autoloader from the M5 Stuart

•The tier 4 medium with a noticeably smaller, yet better penning gun than the Panzer III

•T-25 with even worse DPM, but isn't blind and can actually turn

Full stats are in the spoilers.  Links go to their respective pages on Rita's blog.  I used to be a big fan of Czech armor, but then SS started posting about it and it was no longer hip enough for me.

Discuss, bitch, and whine about your new favorite tanks here.

Ok enlight me. How can this T24 have 10° of gun depression with this small turret? Wouldn't the breech hit against the roof at around 5°?

Besides,  the turret looks so horribly wrong. Like they fucked up with the scales.

Probably the same way the Panzer IV got 10°

All of these look like they'd be awesome of their DPM wasn't so amazingly bad.

I feel like this is going to be a huge trend for the line given apparently they have some autoloaders planned for the high tier ones.

Shouldn't autoloading guns start @ tier 6? That might get me interested...

The tier 3 has an autoloading 37mm.  Not an autocannon, an autoloader.

That means you still shoot about as fast as any other tier three, though you also have to deal with drum reloads too.

I agree the turret looks really, really abominably screwed up

However, consider the idea of a gun where the elevation pin/shaft thingy is in the middle of the breech, and the breech design has the bottom half doing almost all the recoiling, with shock absorber cylinders on the bottom/sides of the breech, and the entire gun is shoved forward into the mantlet so that the breech end extends less into the turret, this could potentially allow for -10 with an extremely specialized gun design.
