Hello everyone! I'm going to be doing a T32 review today as I don't see a recent post about this tank and thought, hey. fuck it, this tank is fun and i could review it. So here we go.

Lets just get the basics down with some pros and cons.

Pros:

 - Super Strong turret. This shit can take shots from E4's to JPZ's

 - Incredible gun depression. You get a spot where you can abuse your gun dep and turret armor and your set.

 - It's pretty fast, having a 35 kph top speed you can get places pretty quickly.

 - Hull armor is better than the T29, you can angle and sidescrape without taking so much punishment.

Cons:

 - Stock turret is fucking terrible. only has 114 mm of armor at the front.

 - Bad pen for a T8 heavy. It has the same gun as the T29 with a quicker reload. So you're most likely going to have to carry some prem rounds.

 - Accuracy is pretty meh.

 - Bad hull for T8. Just like the T29, even though it has better armor, the LP can be penned by T7 and even some T6 tanks.

Now, lets get my opinion on how to play this tank.

Personally, you might be thinking, woah dude. You only have ~40 games in this fucking thing, why are you telling me how to play it?  You're right, but with ~40 games I've pulled a 68% WR and 2700 dpg out of my ass, only ~40 games so it's not that impressive, but you should still read along. I play this like the T29, only way more agressive. I can abuse the fuck out of my turret because the turret upgrade from the T29 is such a huge gap it's insane. The DPM boost is pretty good too, with 100% crew and a gun rammer, I've gotten the reload down to about 8.54 seconds(compared to the T29's 10 sec reload) you can eat other tanks alive. With the top speed you get(35 kph), I can flex around the map better than other heavies(i.e. the KV-5) or the T29 which was a tier lower.

Now, Time for some replays!

I hope this review helped some people decide which heavy line to go up, or even to buy this tank back. Cheers!

Note: I get pissed off and if you don't like angry words don't watch the replays or don't look at chat.

Thanks for the review! :3

I never really felt like the T32 was pretty fast, it always seemed pretty slow to me. It drove somewhat similar to the Tiger 2, although with a lower top speed & better acceleration. It's not very slow, but I don't think it's a pro; 35kph top speed is not good.

The lower plate doesn't seem too bad either. It used to be very poor, but they buffed it up something fierce when it went HD. In closer ranges, it's now just as thick as the upper plate. At longer ranges it gets ~10mm thinner; 165mm.

Anyway, other than that, I'm with you. It's a good tank. I eventually sold mine because I didn't like spamming APCR or the relatively mediocre damage output, but the armor is definitely great for the tier. I think before it got its HD model, the tank was largely overestimated. Now that it has been buffed, I think it's underestimated!

I also love my T32, and it just clicks with me despite the low number of games. In addition to the decent speed and acceleration, I'd like to add that the machine is flexible thanks to its 400 viewrange and its compact size, which helps it do some medium like things in bottom-tier matches (it is based upon the Pershing after all).

And although the tank is a hulldown specialist, I feel that it's legendary turret has been overestimated somehow. The turret, albeit strong, is not invincible as advertised. On level ground, it suffers from a flat strip on the top of its turret with 110 effective armour, which is something it shares with the Super Pershing.

On the Spersh, old players like to say that the turret is 'idiot-proof', and that anyone with a brain will just power through the weakspots. After the buff to the roof, it's now more or less as good as the T32 hulldown minus the strong cupola.

My point is that T32 hulldown is overrated because, much like the Spersh, you can get screwed if you try that on level ground. Once you find an incline or bump, however, it becomes more deserving of its reputation.

Ahh, I don't know about that. That weakspot on the top of the T32's turret is like a third the size of the one on the Super Pershing's. Its small enough that there is no situation where I'd want to try. It's like trying to go through the vision ports on the old E3 model. Plus you can actually penetrate the spershing's turret frontally as long as you don't hit the cupola.

Most importantly, the Spershing's turret is paper against anyone you aren't pointing directly at. Your turret needs to be almost sideways in the T32 for it to be penned.

Spershing hulldown never felt reliable to me, I always just crossed my fingers that they'd miss one of the half dozen weakspots on the turret. T32 you can sit hulldown all game and mostly be sure that nothing in your tier will ever pen you more than super rarely.

I find that shooting at the shot trap on the bottom of the mantlet is the most reliable pen against hull down T32s. Have had pubbies autoaim/snapshoot and damage my T32 from that shot trap so many times....

faster than the superpershing. :rngfu:

Does it actually go faster? I thought they were both turd level speed. Though I think I only ever played the t32 with like a 90% crew to be fair.

The need to come to a conclusion about which tank is faster - Spershing or T32 - only reveals both have shit mobility. personally I never warmed to the T32. Imho the regular Pershing offers so much more - especially in the mobility department - if you're going to spam sprem at hard targets anyways. It might not have an "idiot proof" turret but better players have no issues making it work hull down either.

T32 is much faster until the Spershing gets beyond 35kph. 13.9 hp/ton and 1.5 terrain resist on the T32 vs 9.9 and 1.4 on the Spershing.

I dont think the two tanks are very comparable though, I'd almost rather NOT be hulldown in a spershing, that 250mm glacis is incredible.

playing the T32 a bit now, but while though turret + decrnt hull + ok dpm are also nice. Bad accuracy + soso bloom give it bad gun handling (an IS3 has better gun handling ffs..) trow in low pen, both AP and gold, and you have a very underwhelming gun, the mobility is also quite crap, its not KV4 / lowe slow, but its still slow, IS3 or VK-A leave it behind in a trail of dust.

So when it can fight on its own terms, hull down, or close range, its good, but otherwise not so much....

My DPG was around 2500, but my spotting was a little higher (do you run cola? otherwise that's probably the difference)

After that I proceeded to have shitty games while trying to go for 100% so DPG dropped a bit, but 2520 with 803 spotting I believe

Considering MoE are based on how other people do in the tank, wouldn't it be more OP the longer it took you?  3 marking a tank quickly just seems to mean that you do well in a tank that most people play like shit

While this may be true in some tanks

This tank really is OP but 95% of the playerbase obviously fail to grasp the winning abiity of the tank by taking an aggressive hulldown position. A hulldown at 2-300m gives you time to deal damage and get safe if they actually push you and kite them closer until they realise you rekt their entire push alone without taking HP in damage

Erlenberg east from south is a good example, you push all the way along the ridge to the point where you spot their stuff coming in from base and you put pressure constantly until they realise that they could just push you, where you fall back into support, they get rekt and then you just keep pushing

West is an ever better one from south, push all the way to C1/C2 and spot all the shit while hulldown imba enemy rekting in progress

People just fail in everything, this tank is complete shit if you don't play it to its strengths, but if you do play its strengths while removing weaknesses (aggressive hulldowns with some support in case they rush you) you could be a T9 if it wasn't undergunned/less HP

If arty wasn't in the game this would be the best T8 by far

This ^ I can't count how many battles arty just dropped a gigantic shit on my head and killed my HP and motivation to do well in this tank. Also, I don't run food on my 32, Vents and a rammer w/ APCR :^) Currently pushing 2800 dpg. Gunna get them 3 marks :doit:

Yeah arty can be a huge demotivator. It seems like arty accuracy against me is inverse in proportion to how well I'm doing. i.e. the more damage I'm doing the more likely arty is to hit and kill me. lol

The thing I worry about when hull down in my 32 more than anything (besides arty) is the shot trap under the mantlet.  I can wiggle and jiggle and mostly keep the roof and cupola safe, but the trap can be so easy to hit in many cases,,,

T32 is much faster until the Spershing gets beyond 35kph

Which is only gonna happen on steep slopes like Himmelsdorf castle, on flat ground the SP doesn't even go 30

Point the gun at the sky, the mantlet should stop being an autobounce zone and absorbs their shells.

But yeah, every time I meet one, even in my IS-6 or T-44 I just abuse the shot-trap. It rarely fails.
