i think i have around 50% mastery pages less now because ~10 is all i need

new support items are great tho!

can't say much about new ad items / item reworks but atleast it's a noble goal what they are trying to achieve (not every adchamp building the exact same item set) so thumbs up to rito for trying?

In the course of about 7 games, I went from being in my bronze 1 -> silver 5 promos to getting demoted to bronze 3.

As a bronze 2 ADC main, my opinion is MF is retarded.  The poke is ridiculous, the all-in is ridiculous, and the second she gets that first kill over you she snowballs the entire game.  Crazy teamfighting, the 70% AS steroid on her W, the ult... MF can do pretty much everything at this point and do it well.  It's gotten to the point where I will never play anything against fourtune other than Kog Maw, because that's the only ADC that even has a hope of out-scaling her.

So what's Shen good for? Since he's free this week, I'm shit with Hemdinger (Videos till be up by Saturday), and there's hardly anyone else that's looks viable to me this week.

High level teamplay/saving carries. He's mainly used as a double global threat - burn top lane tp, then r or tp elsewhere. 

You won't carry at all with Shen at low elo until high diamond simply due to the nature of solo queue of people over/underestimating their capabilities by a large margin.

Well since this game is basically Russian Roulette to me when it comes trying out new champions and the in-client hints aren't that helpful to me (just went leeroy jenkins with Braum in top since I thought he was tankish, but I got gang-raped...HARD), what's an quick way of learning who's good at what before an I get banned for being "toxic?"

o7 I can assure you even though almost everyone you meet playing leagues is a complete twat and flames from champion pick to the end you wont get banned for playing poorly. But that's not what you were asking!

I suggest that instead of finding out what champions are slightly better in this patch and playing those champs only you try out as many as you can and before trying a new champ take a quick look at probuilds.net and see what items the very best like building on them. Eventually, you should be able to find some champs that you are somewhat comfortable playing for every role but not without trial and error im afraid.

Now after finding "your champs" in the rift you can take it to the next level watching say youturbs vidyas or twitch streams of someone more accomplished playing your favourite champs! You are bound to get some aces up your sleeve this way

Let's see: I can't share top or mid with Leona because my team wouldn't stop yelling at me to go bot...Which, in my mind, no melee-based champion should go. I tried it, got killed twice by the Morgana bot after spamming my abilities, I went back to farming jungle. Any tips on farming against ranged champions when all I have is an sword, shield, gap-closer, and a stun? But on the good side, I'm good with Darius.

Leona is definitely a support.  There's gold generating items in the shops, grab one of those and let your AD carry take all the farm.  When they try to fight, dump everything you have on their AD carry.

If you want, I can get ya into a private match and we can go over some stuff, like items and champs and the like.

I wouldn't say can't/won't carry, Shen is basically responsible for me getting into silver.  That ult is a literal lifesaver, and can net so many assists/deaths prevented.  Combine with having teleport and you can often get plays such as ulting to bot lane to save your carry and win the 3v2, then tp'ing back top to taunt their jax under tower.

Given the fact you need to rely on poorly skilled carries, it's difficult. Shen carries in higher elo because of what you said.

Shen doesn't carry in low elo because it requires everyone else to be skilled enough to make your TP/ult worthwhile.
