House is currently getting DDOSed

Recommended Posts

So as the title says, my house's router is getting DDOSed and has been the last 20 hours. I basically outplayed someone in CS:GO, and he started to DDOS me. Things escalated with my mom (that's a different story) and I'm currently at my sister's house.

Is there a way I can stop this dude from doing this? Something like an IP changer would be nice, but Comcast would change our IP.

Well, if you have dynamic IP try resetting your router.

This, just unplug the device for 45 seconds and power it back on.  if you have dynamic it will change the ip of the modem...

I reset the router numerous times with no change. I also know for a fact he is DDOSing me because he DDOSed me in the middle of the game and I disconnected from everything. My mom called Comcast and they said they couldn't do anything about it, so she might have to buy a new router.

i have no clue if this would solve it but could a VPN get around a DDOS?
i know these two can semi-mostly keep the same internet speeds you have already and you could set up your router to use the VPN directly if you want but it may be a big pain to do it that way if there are connection problems.

A static IP.

Than you are fucked.

Resetting router would not change your IP address.

Just out of curiosity why dont u use dynamic IP?
