Hi all, I've been playing since august-ish, and have read the forums and articles a great deal trying to improve.  I feel like my progression is about normal at this point in my play time, I'm still a crappy yellow, but trying to dig myself out of the abysmal hole I dug for myself.

My biggest issue right now is with the step between tier 8 and 9.  I felt pretty comfortable in my Tiger 2, but I'm absolutely terrible with the E75.  It "feels" like I get shredded in the E75, and I find myself reverting to the passive way I play my Panther, vs the brawling attitude I have with my SP.

Thanks for the read, and I appreciate any suggestions.

Yea, my E75 is fully upgraded.  I don't know if my sidescrape angle is wrong (I keep my barrel over the front sprocket of my angled track, if that makes sense) or what, but everything I heard about how much better the armor is on the E75, I just don't see it.  I can jump in a RU heavy and sidescrape just fine, but in this thing it seems like I just get blown to pieces.  I attribute part of it to not having a good knowledge of T10 weak areas yet (I rarely get a T9 game on USE) but it feels like my armor should hold up a little better than it does.

The E75 pretty asstastic gun handling but great alpha. Try to avoid situations were you are trying to make shots at a long distance or brawling where you are just DPM'ing each other down. Sidescrape like a boss and try and trade shots at 1:1 ratio.

I do hate the reload time.  I have considered putting the long 10.5 from the Tiger 2 on and trying it that way, but I feel like I'm ignoring the strong points of the tank in doing that.

WADDUP NEW PERSON!!!

Biggest problems with the E75 that newbies make (that I see),

1.  They try to snipe with it, big no no you have a brawler gun and brawler armor and brawler mobility, crush the fuck out of any poor bastard who comes in your way.

2.  When you try to brawl, you over angle on your sides.  E75 needs to come out at a slight angle, so like 15-20 degrees if that makes sense.  Over angling is like 30 degrees+ and is used on the E100, and Type4 and 5 heavies mainly (best ones I can come up with).

Make sure you have APCR too friend as the reload is long and let's face it your gun isn't accurate enough to pen weakspots from long ranges or iffy pen shots in general. :D

Now I shall spam this post with random shit I find in the toolbar.

Don't forget to angle your turret as well while reloading, since experienced players will know to shoot the flat front around the gun with HEAT. Also make sure you aren't being engaged by more than one tank if you can help it. get a good repair crew as you can expect to get detracked often as you sidescrape, because HE spam and being detracked leaves you open to being flanked and swarmed by medium tanks.

Appreciate the replies.  My crew is working their 3rd skill, full repairs on all, 6th, gunhandling skills, etc.  I do get gold spammed, but w/e that's how it is.  Seems like my 840 XVM camo isn't holding up well lol.  I'll work on reducing the angle I'm scraping at, it "feels" like once I'm spotted, I'm focus'ed down by sky cancer, but I may just be bitching.

This is a very bad idea. The turret was designed to have autobounce angles on both sides. By angling or wiggling your turret, you are giving more area for the HEAT spammers to pen their shots.

If face hugging a super low profile med, it would be better to depress your gun all the way and juke the tank back and forth.

I personally never got the hang of the E-75. I still hate that vehicle.

Wasn't a fan of it the first time around (second tier 9 and I had kept the KT so it had a shit crew) but I did significantly better playing it during the StuG/T28 missions.

The E-75 has a better sidescrape on right-hand than left-hand corners, because the barrel is mounted slightly off-centre. Strange but true. Also shields the cupola and reduces the size of the vulnerable turret front.

Left-hand corners are still workable, but it's a bit close. You need to make sure that you're aimed over the inside of the sprocket, and not get distracted by the UFP.

This left/right thing is ambiguous, so check. The barrel offset is quite visible.

Thought I would revisit this.  I've learned a ton since I first poasted this.  I'm still a shitter, but I'm a 1600ish recent shitter.  My biggest problem, and biggest advice to those hoping to improve, is regardless if what you think your armor should do, or how great you may read about X tank being, the shot you don't allow to hit you is much better than the one you think you can bounce.  Unless you are in an IS-4, then shit bounces because reasons.  Thanks for the advice, it's made me see the battle in a vastly different way.
