That's the problem though - how was he abusing his authority? Having a little fun with fake announcements at the expense of a couple members isn't abuse, so I don't understand why it's a problem.

What's great about it is that people being triggered by something as innocuous as anime or writing in Japanese makes it such low hanging trollfuit :3

The fact that people were going to leave the forums over some customization options being added that appealed to a portion of the community is just hilarious. Everything I did was in Shenanigans or announcements, never even touched the actual WoT portions of the forums. People often tell me I need to grow up, but I like to remind them that I'm not the one being upset by cartoons from another country and the use of a foreign language.

 

 

Here's the thing, it was a joke event, the whole idea was to involve people in some out of the ordinary shenanigan, bring some levity to the forum for New Years. Didn't like it? Ignore it for two days, which involved you not reading a few threads in Shenanigans and News, announcements can be ignored just by scrolling down. Nothing related to the games was affected, hell, no threads were even derailed.

4chan? Really? If I wanted to go 4chan-style I'd have made Assad admin. This was as inoffensive as it got, Roku acted like Roku (Which is why he got the task, he could be trusted not to go apeshit) and I acted like a total clown, the idea was to get a laugh and a rise out of people. Most people seemed to get the joke, some others, it was almost ridiculously stupid how they reacted to something that could not have been more blatantly a joke.

You see, a wise man once said, paraphrasing, "Sometimes we need a kick in the pants and a couple of smiles" since this place has a habit of being way too serious and angry. It, meaning the generally positive and light-hearted response to it, has only strengthened my resolve to commit more such shenanigans in the future.
