So I decided to let you have a go at prescribing a solution for a case of the heart aches. I have had my eye on this girl for three months and I never really approached her mostly due to standard she is way out of my league bullshit. However, last week I had the chance to have a conversation with her, not one of those hows the weather been conversations, but one of those know the soul and desires of the person you are talking to conversations (group setting btw, no 1 on 1 yet). I found out we have alot in common, we are both service oriented people who love to help others and volunteer from time to time. She is also not very interested in material goods, something I really value in a girl, as I am not rich and think a blanket on a beach is way more stimulating than a night in a fancy restaurant. Additionally, in terms of life achievement we are very similar, we both place a high value on travel and philanthropy, as well as living a care free "surfer" lifestyle later in life. TLDR: I am smitten by an incredibly attractive girl who is very compatible with what I want and need in a wife. This is where the fun begins... I have told my best friend about her and he has promised to be my wingman, he is a solid 8/10 looker and an 11/10 in terms of being a kick ass friend. The problem is she is an 9/10 (a 10/10 if she were mine) and I am very much a 5, I know good relationships aren't based on looks, but they fucking help get you in the door. I am not disfigured or have weird features, I just have a bit of acne and weight to lose, all conditions that I am working on in the present for her by doing yoga, running, and weightlifting. I think by the time I get to my ideal fitness level and my skin clears up I could be a solid 8. My main issue comes with getting her interest now and showing how I am changing and making sure she is still on my side when I finally achieve what I want to with my body. TLDR: OP is a fatass with acne, but could be stud after enough gym Long and short, she seems like a girl with a personality that matches how beautiful she is and a breathtaking smile to boot. I honesty think she could be the one I longed for during my days as a beta fag but was too coward to entertain the notion. She seems to be a girl who values personality and positivity over physical attractiveness. My wing-man suggests going for the long con before trying to become her boyfriend, my big issue is how to get on her radar in the first place, we have not had alot of conversation but we see each other every week and I am talking to her more. TLDR: OP want to get on the date radar without registering on the creep-O-meter So yeah ex beta fag taking life by bootstraps trying to reel in the "big one" David vs. Goliath and I am scared as hell... Thoughts from men with hot wives/girlfriends? More importantly thoughts from the three girls on the forum on how to not be a major creep and not appear as a faggot. With that being said though being shy won't get you anywhere but friend-zoned. You should ask her out to dinner or something that is definitely in 'This is a date' territory. If she's interested she will go with you. If she isn't, she'll be busy watering the cat or some bullshit and you can save yourself a whole bunch of time by looking at other potential mates.
