Hi, since this tank is being discussed mostly in the Upcoming Changes section and seems not to have a proper thread here, I'm starting it.

So far I had two games in this tank. Both were against Xs (I was in a platoon), I got roflstomped and did little damage because of poor positioning. 

If you have good replays of this tank, please share them here (or pm me), I would really appreciate it! And by good I don't mean epic wins in a tier VIII game against bots but rather games against experienced (and higher tier) enemies that show some good positioning. Thank you!

Pen is ridiculous for a t8 med, hitting anything is more of an issue than penning most of the time. So far managing 2k dpg with this over 11 battles. 45% WR tho, it absolutely can't carry games, but I sort of like it anyway.

In it's current state the 4202 (P) is unbelievably bad, the buff in the next patch should make it believably bad.

Supposed to be getting buffed to be on par with the Centurion mk1, which is a solid tonk imo. Not bad for a premium if this is true.

The Cent mk1 has the hidden advantage of medium MM weight, so the FV4202 will be much worse at winning games if it has similar stats. Similar situation to Panther 88 vs Panther II.

Played it about 20 games in stronkholds today. On tier 8 I bounced almost 60% of the shots fired at me!! Armor is surprisingly good due to all the autobounce angles. Especially when using the gun depression and you keep moving. On flat ground I was baiting IS3s to hit my angled UFP without exposing my inner trackwheel and their shots where bounces almost all the time. Now I had a shit crew on but the gun handling right now is ATROCIOUS. Although It kept hitting the target almost 80% of teh time when shooting on the move close to mid range. Pen is great. But that speed... so limiting. It kills the tank. I hope they make it go atleast 40 like it was. I will have fun with it in randoms after the buff.

Literally old FV4202 with reduced HP, nerfed hull armour and an alright pounder with 230 alpha and above avg t8 med dpm (or GREAT bloom due to being brit after all) would be a balanced tank

I really like it. Yeah it's a bit 'eh' in the current state. Still doesn't make it a terrible tank. The gun really is nice, apart from the times where the horrid accuracy and aim time just give you the finger. Currently sitting at 18 battles with 72% w/r and a measly dpg. I can't wait for the buffs, I hope WG decide to increase the top speed as well as improving the gun. 

I've had a couple of 1600 xp battles and still haven't even got a first class yet. GG.

No. Even post buff it'll still be in the bottom tier of Premium 8s.

If you want a British medium crew trainer get a Cromwell B

If you want a decent tier 8 premium medium then get a Mutz, has a similar gun (212 pen not much different from 226), with better handling, same gun depression, a turret that has a few auto-bounce zones and it goes 50 kph not 35.

Mutz, CDC, Patton KR even STA-2 can do pretty much what the FV is able to do but also can actually move places.

Is it possible to see how many people get this tank on EU server? I see only few, personally i don't play mine (maybe after buff) but i expected easy targets hype train.
