Anything before T50 is worth playing?

Simple question. I freeXPed till tier7, and now i'm out of freeXP. Is it worth playing anything besides T50? T25 maybe? Certainly i need crew for T50, so maybe play lower tiers? 

Is T40 any good?

T40 is excellent, well balanced for its tier amazingly enough. 

T25 was enjoyable, and much like the T50

T50 and 50/51 are everything you want and more. 34/100 is unique enough, but very MEH. tier 8 is fucking garbage

I don't know what's with people and saying the T8 is complete garbage. I think most of them are mega spoiled by the T50/T50TVP or haven't played the tanks prior the T8. I personally think it's quite a decent tank and the gun handling compared to the previous tanks(I'm using stock turret/second 8.8) is awesome.

 

I can see the potential in the T8 to be quite decent, but if I fail it's probs my fault and not the tanks. -8 gun dep, pretty good gun handling IMHO, mobility isn't even trash, way better than the T7s and I'm using stock engine, sure it had no armor but we're all probs used to paper tanks. It doesn't have massive module damage which is also nice.

My experience in it is that its the worst tier 8 MT in the standard tech trees

US: Pershing and T69 - worse than both
USSR: T-44 and 416 - T44 has better camo, armor, gun depression when comparing top turrets
UK: Centurion - 400m VR, turret armor, and AP/APCR pen
Jpn: Turret armor, gun, VR
Ger: Panther 2 and Indien PZ - 2 has armor and nearly the same mobility, and IP is a better TVP along with better VR

When comparing to premium tier 8s, its only better than the M4Rev

Thats MY opinion. It may differ but personally the only problem I have with the T8 is the amount of T10 games I had so far in it. Pretty much out of 13 games I'm sure I had T10 at least 9 times if not 10, total garbage mm.

I agree. I'm one of the few backers of it, like you. I'm also in the stock turret/top 8,8 master race.

One of the my most enjoyable tier 8 grinds.

BTW, all tier 8 meds are shit. Even the Pershing is slow as fuck and needs gold to work.

Agree with marine, TVP is worse as any other standard medium, it has no armor, a derpy gun with poor gun handling, no OP gold ammo, it has nothing to leverage and a ton of weaknesses

Even cent mk1 is better, and i rly hated cent mk1...

True. Out of all replies so far I agree with Snoregasm2 the most as we seem to have the same taste. I keep on getting quite good matches it it, but sadly T10 most of the time kills all my fun with it.

That's it in a nutshell, the TVP is the worst among a class of bad tanks.

T25 is okayish, think of it as a smaller chi-ri. The rest is playable but nothing to remember honestly.

I got the T-40 as a trainer and am very happy with it. It's a straight upgrade to the german Vk 30.01P.

There is nothing wrong with doing the grind though. T7 was bearable and T8 is way better than its reputation. Ppl like to not mention best in class dpm (using 8.8) for example. Or the option to run a 10.5 at T8.

Just realize that untill you hit T9, gun handling and depression will be shit.

Agreeing that the T8 is decidedly not good. Its somewhere between a shitty Mutz, a shitty STA, or a shitty Indien with the 88. The dpm is almost always irrelevent; you might notice against the lowest dpm meds (like cent or persh), but it usually doesnt matter. Every other med either has a well defined tool to carry with or is straight up a superior all-rounder. T44, STA, Mutz, and Indien all do what the TVP does better. 

Only tanks worth keeping on the line are the 6, 9, and 10. The 7 and 8 dont even come close imho.

The 6, 9 and 10 are the only ones I like from that line but I like those 3 quite a bit. I pretty much free exped past the rest after the girl crew member was unlocked when the mission was going.

I have 3128 DPG in the T50. My current best tier 10 DPG for MTs with 100+ battles is ~2900. 

I'll be very sad if Im not around 3.3-3.5k DPG in the Skoda 50/51 after 100 battles

T25 is realy nice, with bad crew i have 1200DPG which is pretty nice (WN wise) and WR is  ~60% which is ok considering i didn't platoon. On 34/100 have worse numbers, but sample is small.. T50 is reason of this sodomy, 3500DPG on test server is plain crazy. And with bad crew, without gold!!! Sample is 20battles.
