The T29 Thread / MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN

Recommended Posts

So after looking at all 15 pages, there's no official T29 thread so here we go! The T29, while not as notorious as the IS/IS-2 for its alpha damage, not as accurate as the Tiger, not as big as the O NI, it's still often considered by many as one of the most powerful Tier 7 in World of Tanks due to its acceptable mobility, powerful and well-handled gun and extremely resilient turret armor. (Thanks @nemlengyel)

  • Very good turret armor at the front... by bullying the SHIT OUT OF LOW TIERS and even tiers above by holding our ground, defending the ideas of democracy and our values.
  • If angled correctly, its side armor can bounce some shots, soaking up all the Communism, Fascism, and Monarchies.
  • Good AP penetration and if that isn't enough, there's 245mm penetration of APCR, giving the enemy the feel of Freedom, Liberty, and Democracy.
  • Acceptable mobility, making our ways towards victory on the battlefield, pursuing "The American Dream".
  • Good gun handling and aim-time because America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination to do the job at hand.
  • Okay-ish Accuracy, shells are guided by Donald Trump because lets #MakeT29GreatAgain. (Thanks @KingYoshiLuca)
  • DPM is a bit poor, but that doesn't stop it liberating the enemy.

When somebody challenges you, fight back. Be brutal, be tough. - Donald Trump

Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort. - Franklin D. Roosevelt

We are going to have peace, even if we have to fight for it. - Dwight D. Eisenhower

It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit. - Harry S Truman

Oh and its my 2nd favorite tank (IS6 is first) and has the highest winrate over 100 battles in any of my tanks.

Sure you can use the 90mm but then your tank looks like a dork and you may get some people on your team mad that you're using the 76mm if they don't look close enough (may or may not be a bonus to some).

I see you one T(rump)-29, and raise you;

M3 Lee: Ted Cruz's tank. Closely related to a Canadian (Ram II)

T1 Heavy: Chris Christie's tank. Size, check. Not really in competition, check.

M6: George Bush Jr's tank. "Read my lips, no new armor (since tier 5)". Memorable mostly for being more destructive than it's parent-tank.

M103: Bill Clinton's tank. Doesn't have the same penetration problems as it's predecessor.

T110E5: Hillary Clinton's tank. Unlikely to be penetrated in the near future.

...and how again does it match up to the SU-122-44 Berning stuff down with Tier 10 levels of DPM and 390 alpha with medium tank mobility and troll armor?

(I never thought I'd get to use this image! It's been over a year since it was made.)

There are very few things in WoT which can match up to a well-driven, full APCR SU-122-44. You literally drive around a corner, plug 2 390 shots into a distracted enemy, and back around before they can even turn their turret towards you. Damnit, now I want to come back to play the SU...

Don't forgot the T14, the Jeb! vehicle of choice. Fat, weak, and completely obsolete, great for the low energy competitor.

So would the Loltractor be Columba's tank?

Also T29 for some reason is still my all time highest xp game.

For some reason I just can't make it work. It feels sluggish, has poor hull armor, and bad unaimed accuracy and large aim circle after the nerf.

It feels like an ARL 44 with impenetrable turret at tier 7 to be frankly honest.

And most of the time I can't really utilize my turret because arty running XVM with stats is in every game I play.

I guess it depends on what guns you are used to, vstab+snapshot + smooth ride seems to really improve gun handling.

Also since HD made the side armor a uniform 76mm + tracks, sidescraping is actually a very viable tactic if you can't get hulldown.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the great base VR.

Sure, corridor meta and all, but if you run optics instead of vents, you end up with ~440 m view range, making you an autonomous killing machine that does not care if your scouts are retarded. And it means Prok is fun to be had.

what do Rubio or Kasich compare to?

erm...ok, here goes nothing.

AMX M4 45: John Kasich's tank. It's only in this thread to make the T(rump)-29 look more awesome.

59-Patton: Marco Rubio's tank. Proud capitalist freedom spreading persona, with a commie origin story.

And yes, Ben Carson is the Black Prince. Went there.

I have a few wildcards to rebuke:

Sarah Palin (SP): Thick-headed, thick-chested and can be very slow at times. Embodies America in it's most distilled form. Has the penetrative savy of M6 (Bush JR.) but with a bigger ammo rack.

ST(O)B(ama)-1: a newcomer green tank with lots of promise but fails to deliver with every shot, as shown with hidden stats.

This is going pretty well for a political thread ('v '

@Serene_Potato

T(rump)32 solves the frontal armor issues IMO. I <3 that tank. I didn't keep the T29 because it felt like seal clubbing.

If the T29's armor does not fit to your subjective liking then the 105mm (320 damage), Satori-like gun handling, decent 35kph speed, 400m view range and -10 gun depression makes up for the armor. Combine those aspects and put a emphasis on positional skills.

It's very rare to see people dislike the T29. You might be the 3rd persob in the entire span of WoT's history.

Must remember though that these tanks must be 'Murican :Cirno:

Kasich: Sherman Jumbo. It's immune to damn near all fire and drive by shooting, but couldn't hurt a fly even if it tried. Has the (one) benefit of leading directly to the T(rump)29.

Rubio: Hellcat. No matter how hard hit by nerf bat or how quickly it dies when sneezed upon, it remains the trusty neocon teal clubber's tank of choice.

Carson: Jackson. Rarely spotted, capable of holding its own, but quickly falls apart when met with competent opposition.
