Spurred on by a comment in the Tier 8 Elimination thread I thought it might make for some great banter, shitposting and flaming if we do the maps.

Same rules as per Tier 8 Elimination; increase the best map on the list by 1 and decrease the 3 worst maps on the list by 3. Each user is allowed to do this a maximum of once per day. When a map hits 0, it is eliminated. You must explain your choices, even if very briefly. Highlight your increase with GREEN and your decrease's with RED if possible. If you cannot use colors, use BOLD for your upvotes and ITALICS for your downvotes. Remember to make sure you are copying the latest list before posting. Copypasta courtesy of @Rexxie

In this thread you can downvote a map just because you hate it, unless you hate it because it's bad for arty then you can go fuck yourself and your vote will be declared invalid and I will bribe Pity to ban you forever.

I am including all the maps that have been removed from the game and/or rotation, but not the special mode maps including the Rampage maps and also no duplicate maps e.g Fiery, Winterberg etc. I expect this thread to take a while as there are 44 maps to pick from. I am also starting all maps at 30 rather than 20 so it takes a minimum of ten votes to eliminate a map at the start. I will also be voting just because.

I'd consider two or three at most but already like six responses so it would be a PITA to change.

Having done some spacemath I'm going to retroactively make it three downvotes worth 3 points per vote but you can't stack them onto one map. To save edits people who voted Today just add an extra two tomorrow and quote Today's post.

I have a similar question on map tiers. Weren't some maps run only on specific battle tiers ?

Some were tier limited retrospectively but nearly all of them were full Tier when they came out. As for Pilsen I got the list from the wiki. I may have accidentally trimmed it or it may not have been there.

Westfield - 32 I find the map visually pleasing as well as fun to play on. In almost any location you can fire in multiple directions and most enemy tanks seem to end up being fired on from multiple directions. I liked it before the changes and it's still probably my favorite map.

Komarin - 30 - 3 = 27 worst map in the whole history of online gaming, i bet some WG dev had a bet when he made this map, for as long as i play wot people raged at this map and my tactic was: go to house near flag, and alt-tab OR suicide rush middle and back to garage, words cant describe the shitness of Komarin (they reworked version was miles better, but due to arty still not good)

Two main channels which get stuck with brawls on the corners with arty having excellent shots on the brawls combined with a fairly useless center, two additional useless channels that arent relevant until the end and a large raised bushed platform for TDs to camp from.

Pearl River - 30 + 1 = 31 I liked this map. You could do something with every class here, and arty had a harder time cancering on you for being aggressive. Not sure why it was removed, imo.

I don't think I realized how many maps I hate/d in this game until going through them all. WG legit sucks at map making. I also might be one of the few who though Severogorsk was an ok map, better than a lot of shit we still play. A lot of the removed maps were actually pretty decent (except Komarin... fuck Komarin).

e: btw the wiki entry for Siegfried Line made me laugh, but also depressed at how ignorant the commenter is. Only 1/4 of the map or so is actually relevant to winning...

Only problematic part is the corridor in the centre, the idea was good but in practice too narrow and steep to avoid bread baskets

Seconded. It was a perfectly decent map, other than the fact that the first tank to the middle from the north spawn would always park with 5 allies blocked behind it.
