Kranvagn - tier 10 Swedish HT

So in short, it had either 105, 120 or 150 (smoothbore, very likely not coming to game) autoloading guns. Very light for heavy, roughly 40-45 tons. However, the most notable thing that caught my (and will be same for you) is this:

IT HAS MOTHERFUCKING -12 DEGREES OF GUN DEPRESSION!

all of EMILs/Kranvagn design IIRC had -12, so there is that

That's the FM/49 prototype however. It slowly evolved into the IKV-72, which will be at tier 3 in the TD-line. It however has a little less depression by the looks of it, but still rather impressive.

EXTREMELY dissapointed with it from these stats, though i will wait before i see full stats. I think its armor should be good-ish but if its only gun option is 120mm, im gonna be majorly dissapointed, because we already have two of those (50b and T57).

I guess its likely. I mean, look at this pic. It was stated to be Emil II, but it actually seems to be Kranvagn. Look at the gun of it:

And compare the first pic to mockup that is design of Kranvagn with 150mm gun:

It looks quite similar, doesnt it?

 

WG atleast has tested another gun, so there is indeed hope.

I know that its very possibly going to be changed (buffed). However, remember how they NERFED Type 5 Heavy during supertest, even though it already had worse DPM AND alpha than E100? There is chance that WG are mongoloid enough to bring Kranvagn at this stage into test server, maybe even into live...

Just look at its stats (highlighting most disgusting points):

– Worst HP and view range of all tier 10 HTs, worse than many tier 10 mediums
– Pen is 242/310, just ewwww
– Dispersion values suck
– 4 sec intra clip reload, just, wtf?
– 1K WORSE DPM THAN T57
– No other gun choices, rip dreams of 145mm/155mm boomstick 
– Hull isnt amazing, upper plate is 95mm and probably at autobounce angle but hull is so low that rip hull armor against anything with depression. Side is overmatchable by 120mm guns
– Traverse speed is shit, cant play like a medium

 

WG seemingly got tired at Type 5 Heavy holding the title "most potato tier 10 HT", so they are going to buff it and bring new shittank to hold that title.

Shame, i had so high hopes for this thing, and also because it looks sexy:

Will probably still grind the line, though, because atleast these things look still pretty unique.

I would rather compare it to T57 HT, because of its playstyle seems to be closer to it than 50B. 

It has better front armor, top speed and -12 depression for whopping 1k lower base DPM, much worse pen, worse health, worse view range, worse accuracy and twice as long intra-clip reload compared to T57.

So you do 1600 damage in 12 seconds, when the 50b is doing it in 7.5, the T57 is doing it in 6. And you have worse pen and worse gun handling than a 50b as well.

Not much going for that tank IMO.

It's just too bad in too many areas, they were clearly so worried about making it better than both the 50b and T57 they've essentially made it have the bad points of both.

So, you thought 242 pen is bad enough? What about 242...APCR? TVP has 247 APCR, which is arguably its biggest flaw among with lack of armor it has. And TVP has maneuverability to flank. This doesnt.

E100's AP shells > Kranvagn's APCR shells. Against sloped armor i actually think E-100's AP is more effective, and it atleast can overmatch stuff.

320 HEAT is also poopy. 50B gets APCR with better pen, GG

 

Tier 9's stats are up...and its shitty version of shitty tier 10 at tier 9. It has 5 second clip reload, with 40 sec full magazine reload. It has worse DPM than Type 4...

 

RIP Swedish HT line, if these stay like this i definely wont fucking grind them like i originally planned. I might go up to tier 8, because that one seems fun (aswell as tier 5 and tier 7), but fuck tier 9/10, it seems.
