XVM is shit for everyone. It causes purples to get focused and yellows like me to get outright ignored a lot of times. It hinders my improvement if I'm getting games where one team straight up loses 1/4 of its players due to yoloing when without XVM that would happen less often. Besides, how many times do you see "GG AFK we have 30% winrate" from random shitheads on your team, who then go yolo mid so they can play the next game?

I'm 100% in favor for having XVM stats banned from the in-match client. Leave the thing that calculates your own WN8 after the battle and shows it on the results screen, get rid of all the rest.

Why do people still mix these two up after like 3 years is beyond me. If WN8 would die without a replacement then everyone would just switch to PR...

Also WG speculated about no longer sending the enemy teams player names to kill xvm winchance but, as usual, never came off it.

There's a mod to XVM that shows stats in the game, something the default client does not do. It also gives a % chance to win based on the relative stats of the two teams.

no shit really? i'm pretty sure that's not what he said. what he said was that from an XVM POV it's irrelevant what happens to WN8 because even if WN8 suddenly dies and there is no replacement, XVM would just begin using WG PR and show those numbers in game.

He said he sees no connection. There's a clear connection that he might've overlooked. It's life, man. You can't just assume someone didn't miss something obvious any more than you can become hostile over someone explaining something you think is obvious.

But there is no connection. Even if WN8 goes down the drain, XVM will find some different internet numbers to put in there. WGPR is always there, there is even WN8KTTC which is basically WN8 made by people who don't know too much about statistics...

You missed my point again. I'm proposing banning XVM stats from the game entirely. As in, add it to the banned mods list alongside AutoAim+.

Even if WG's mod detection system isn't good enough to pick up on it yet, adding it to the banned mods list will at least cause legitimate mod makers to remove it from their packs and scare people into uninstalling it.
