Discord take a little getting used to, but it's pretty good once you've used it for a while. When you log into our discord server you have to click on which voice or text chat you want to be in. Most people won't be on until tonight.

 

Also, clans are limited to 30 players. This patch they just introduced clan naval bases (similar to tanks strongholds) The headquarters upgrade allows you to expand the clan size to 40 or 50 people. 

 

Right now RUST is still at 30 people, but we will upgrade in a couple of weeks to 40. in the mean time feel feel free to join us on discord for divisions.

 

Also your stats are good enough to join, just need to increase you battle count and get a tier 10 to meet all the requirements. With some divisions I bet we can get you there by the time we expand to 40 people.

These guys are cool - they were willing to help an old tanks veteran like me adjust to intentionally driving through water.  Even slummed at low tiers when I broke out the ww1 era boats.

Even if they have no space (or you are a low tier seal like me) join their discord and have good times while driving boats into islands.

MaxL_1023 had the shortest learning curve of anyone I have ever seen pick up this game.  I was in a div with him in a tier 6 match about a week after he started and watched him rack up 7 kills in a Fuso for a mega carry.  Plus he is a really cool guy to boot, definitely not a rage-a-holic.  I look forward to seeing you in-game when you get back from the IEEE conference!

I'll be back tomorrow to sink ships and take names, or at least get a few pens before being detonated by a torpedo.

To be fair, my learning curve is shorter than most due to my 35k games in tanks. I'm nowhere near my stats in WoT yet. I always did manage to pull off carries once in awhile even before I knew what I was doing - my style leads to high risk but high reward, gradually exhibiting a higher success frequency as I got more experience. It's much harder to be a positive influence consistently than to luck into a 3k base game.

Hey Vettish, we have a sub clan that is for parking applicants until they get close to their tier 10, and it would allow you to Division with us in Discord  Your recents look like you are quickly getting a handle, and we are pretty good about helping people grind up through the lower tiers, pm MtnRunner and I'm pretty sure he will give you a Discord invite.

@Vettish we do make exceptions. Battle count doesn't matter as much. How close are you to a tier 10. We are letting another person in who doesn't meet the battler and tier 10 requirements, but he was super unicum in tanks so we know he'll fit in well.

Also, just upgraded the clan to 40 positions. Current clan count is 35, with 1-2 other spots tentatively claimed. So only 3-4 spots left before we reach 40 members. It might be a long time before we expand to 50.

It's true that we have a reserve clan. Although we are mostly using it for current member of RUST who aren't as active in game anymore but still want to be part of the clan. I don't think we're ready to move non-RUST people into it. OXIDE is technically the same clan as RUST.
