What's with all you good players drowning?

Maybe it's just me (or because I'm on their team) but has anyone else noticed a large number of players drowning themselves because of poor MM recently?

I've seen what feels like 20 or so (but asmittedly is probably more like 10-12) since the X5 weekend.

Not talking about the just the usual bots/completely useless players, in the past couple days I've seen some players who are far better than me just drown themselves at the start of the battle , including some from some pretty good clans,  even the guy whos the commander of 11AD with his platoon mate. (and then a scrub T8 player because ...lemming I guess) Nothing like starting down 3 T8 tanks in a T10 game with G players on the other team in their T8's.

Is this an accepted thing now? I know it used to be frowned upon, but I'm noticing it more and more with t8 in t10 games, t7 in t9 games, and as I said, it's not just the guys who are even more useless than i am or bots, these are players who are good enough to get into clans I'll never be good enough to join.

I've had a few instances due to the ridiculous packet loss lately. Just launched myself off the mid road on lakeville in my bat AP thanks to it.

Thanks guys- but I meant as deliberate (saying "fuck this MM I'm out" before doing so) kinda thing. 

Might just be a weird streak I've seen (and confirmation bias of course) just seems like there's a lot more good players drowning themselves recently.

Wasn't sure if some of you were participating in some kind of "fuck my pub team mates over" month.

 

Not a huge deal of course, just the more of you good players who do it, the harder it is for me to get wins I don't deserve...

Meh could post it, but it's not an accident, they pretty much said "fuck this MM I'm drowning" and proceeded to do so. theres 4-5 T8 tanks per side as well, not like these guys are facing nine T10 heavies or something.

LOL Ok,compared to some of you, no, maybe not, when i say "good player" I mean compared to me. I like to delude myself I'm reasonably almost slightly above average, so anyone better than me is at least "good". Really the only way i can sleep at night..

Forgive the hubris as it were,

but as I said, I've seen more than him (not from any of your "elite" clans, but still some "good" ones, ) Just mentioned him as he was the annoyance tonight when he did it.

Entirely possible I've just had a run since the weekend though, just frustrating, wondered if it was a thing.

Suppose I should really join a clan at some point so I can platoon and this won't matter as much,

I haven't seen people at all over the x5 weekend, or anywhere in the past months, hell almost a year where someone said "fuck MM I'm out" and drown themselves.  That's something shitlord reds do.

But I did drown a couple weeks ago.........a teal pushed me into the water with his E100 because he didn't like the fact that I was playing my UDES as a support tank and not frontlining with it........

"good" is still barely capable of driving in straight lines

Which would explain why so many drown

So lets assume 70 percent of those drownings were Arty cuz that is what arty does.  so we are left with 3-6 from the 10-20 tanks that drowned and most of those were probably driving mistakes.  So by the math "All is normal in WoT".

I made the mistake of opening WoT a few weeks ago.  My last battle for the day was me in my E-50m south spawn lakeville.  I went east with one other medium.  The entirety of the other 13 members of my team camped near where arty would normally set up.  I realized I had make a huge mistake even trying to play this shitty, shitty game.  So I drove into the water and closed the window.  I'd imagine i drown.

I've seen some pretty BS moves by 11AD guys lately, its like they watched a highlight reel of Relic memes from 2013 and decided to try some stale imitations.  I'm pretty sure I was in that game with you TBH.  Although, in all honesty, the X5 weekend was horrific - I deliberately shotgunned a team mate in a T69 out of frustration because he played like a bot but turned out to be a human.  It made me feel better, but my team mates were less impressed.

+1 for using the word "Hubris".

 

WoT has become a cesspool for a variety of reasons. Bad players, Bots, Sado Masochists, Trolls, Lag spikes, Yolo Bads, Kids being babysat by WoT instead of parenting, Meth Addicts, etc. Outside of crappy MM which is also a real problem anymore, many of the aforementioned reasons are why you keep seeing people drown.

Not a Uni, but I try to squeeze out damage each game. If I ever drown its one of 2 reasons:

1. Ping spike
2. Someone pushed me off a bridge, and it caused me to drown

Platooning with a good player or two really helped deal with the latest x5 weekend and had a hilarious moment having myself and my platoon mate being called rerolls by a RELIC member whom we whacked for 99% of his health in 10 seconds. I can appreciate quality salt.
