I don't get it. Once you gave your premium you can't trade it back against credit. You basically give up any way to get it back.

Currently if you sell a premium tank you get 1/2 the gold amount converted into credits.  T34 is 12,000 gold.  If you sell it you get 6000 x 400 credits = 2,400,000 credits

If you use an exception to get the tank back, you must have at least 2.4 million credits in your account and a garage slot.  WG will then exchange the tank for the credits.

Unless WG somehow "Tags" these trade-in vehicles (or I guess they may be able to review all the transactions made in your account), you may be able to recover them for credits.  Basically allowing you to convert Credits to Gold.

I've never used the in-game vehicle recovery system.  But it is interesting that they mention it won't be able to recover Trade-Ins.

They keep a record of how you got rid of it, so no, you can't. 

I tried to recover my T26E5 rental and the bastards looked up how I got rid of it

Why would they let you recover a "Rental" vehicle?  How did you get rid of it, other than selling it?

In other words, they keep a record of just how you got rid of a vehicle.  They'll see that you traded it in, not sold it for credits, and won't let you recover it.

If you're on the fence about a tank you kind of like but feels under-powered, I'd consider waiting. There are still several premiums waiting for buffs, and they've named in Q&A sessions the KV-5 and T-54 mod 1 as some of them. I dearly hope that the FCM is in for a buff too as it's a premium tank I quite enjoy because of the matchmaking, but it can be a little frustrating to play with its size and gun handling. On the other hand, the useless free VK4503 I got from the gold league scavenger hunt is likely going to be put to good use.

I'm ready to get rid of the Jt 88 and get a Lowe, but I'm worried about that megabuff that could always happen.  The VK45 though, that trash is gone.

The irony here is that all the premiums we would want to buy aren't in the tech tree. All the good stuff gets taken out, and it's just the tired old power-creeped relics sitting there like 50 plus ho's lined up on the backstreets.

I might be interested, save for there's little in the tech tree to begin with and even less I don't already own. I'd trade in the 50% off TOG or SU-100Y I purchased years ago and never used for something, except the only tanks I'm interested in (M46 KR, AMX 13 57, Mutant, or 252U) aren't generally available.

Also only getting 50% feels kind of cheap, though I guess it's that way to prevent people from buying something on a 50% discount and trading it in for 75% of full price or somesuch.

I'm tempted to trade in my CDC for the ravioli sherman, but I know if I do that, the CDC will get T-62A levels of gun handling in update 9.20.

 

Since we're talking premiums, is that tier 6 Swede premium any good?  Looks like a generally worse T 25 skoda, but with better pen, dmg, and larger clipazine.  I've got enough gold either for that or a ravioli w/ trade in.

You don't have enough gold to do a trade in. My guess would be that you have a tier 8 to trade but no tier 6 worth enough.

You dont right click. Just click it like you have enough gold to purchase it then a menu will appear.
