WG giving me garbage ships to return?

So I haven't played in a while because dank new games etc

I got an email from WG. I thought fuck yeah free t7 and t6?

Is this standard? Assuming so, but after looking at reviews the ships are basically garbage which dampens my enthusiasm. Still, 150k xp &12m creds! That's getting me closer to a Nelson, which looks hilariously good fun.
