How does floating ice work on Arctic Region?

Recommended Posts

How does floating ice in the south of Arctic Region work? What decides if it gets crushed or can hold your weight? Is it the weight of your vehicle? How fast you are going? Can you cross with any tank there or just some?

whatever you do just don't fight on it as you're on such a thin area that if arty can just splash you crossing there (esp if he's down in the pocket) you will likely die.

cross the first part and stay until you're unlit to cross the ice if there's arty in the game, one bad splash and your game is over regardless of hp so it's really not worth risking it over

otherwise iceroad play is gud, just make sure to keep an eye on the td balcony because they might not notice you at first but they have clear free shots onto you and most of them won't get lit until they actually shoot at you so trying to stay hulldown to both the heavy area and the ridge is generally a good idea

Yes I found out the hard way in ranked tonight that its only semi-unbreakable . . .

so can you shoot the ice out from under somebody with a tank gun, or just arty?  Because THAT would be an epic meme kill right there

I think it's weight dependent. I did it with a light and they didn't break. But my t57 didn't stay on then even for a sec. I drowned :(

It's already happened with just a random tank gun:

@kariverson based on the fact that the above gif is someone dunking an O-Ni into the drink, I'm like 99% sure it's not weight based.

There ARE areas in the corner that LOOK like ice, but sadly, are not
