I dont know if im correct, but i do believe that this could be the first time ever that a tier X will statically be worse then the preceding tier IX, in both WoT and WoWs.

No, it's not. The PTA is miles better tier-for-tier than the Leopard 1, but has worse stats in quite a few areas.

Only tier for tier, the Leopard 1 hasmore health,  better gun handeling, more DPM , slightly better gundepression and more viewrange.

If the tanks had the same MM the Leo1 would be considered superior.

 

As for the Chung Mu vs YueYang the situation is different as it would now be considered a sidegrade at best, a downgrade at worst even if they were at the same tier as you lose quite a lot for very little gain.

it's a tier 9 with t9 mm that reaches the same dpgs as the t10 does, the gun handling is better on leo1 but soft stats must be in favour of pta because the gun behaves so much differently

I'm not aware of a single advantage the PTA has over the Leo; it's slower so I guess that might help the bloom? But then it also has worse base accuracy, so its a wash. The titanic difference in DPM alone is all that really needs to be said, though.

I don't understand why balance teams pull things like this. How is dissuading people from spending gold and time on a T10 a good business move? The only reason I can see this happening is if they have plans to change the T9 relatively soon.

Nah, 268 at least has improved gun arc and shell velocity unlike in the past, so it can at least be considered as an "upgrade" now. It's still a weak upgrade but it would still be better than the 704 if they were put into same tiers. 

Before the 9.20 buffs the 268 was literally a sidegrade, though, so it's more or less the closest thing we will get to "downgraded tier 10".

Some could argue that T92 is a downgrade from M53 but 1. its an arty so who cares 2. T92 is almost as different from M53 as far as differences between arties can go, basically

Occupational hazard when you stake the balance of an entire game on mutually self-defeating gimmicks. 

So Yue Yang will continue to automatically win vs. blind DDs because some asshole pushed a radar button. Other times, that Yue Yang will lose automatically to a gunboat DD with a reload booster with another button push. Fun!

The idea that a game where each player faces the possibility of a scenario where ships stats are the sole determinant of the outcome (almost) regardless of skill is silly. But, by WG logic if the opportunities to cheese all over other players are normally distributed, a 50% global win rate will inevitably pop out. 

I uninstalled WOT long ago, and fired up WoWS recently. Alas, WG is still doing retarded shit like this, so...This is the first time in years that I haven't had a WG product installed on my PC.

Jagdtiger vs JP E100:

Higher DPM and shell velocity, better accuracy and gun handling, more gun depression, mobility, and camo, and a front-mounted gun. Then again, the JT is bad already at tier 9, and the JP is a gimmick that's not even trying to be competitive. I suppose 420p/1,050 HEAT ain't bad against superheavies, though.
