Kolni's Recommended WoT Streams to Watch (Tryhards)

Hey, I just thought I'd make a list of all the current (IMO) best players at the game and their streams, both for them and for you. 

CarryBarry ^ - legit 3marked Chieftain, one of the best players on the server, great music and chill vibes and first and foremost a really chill stream - and barry's a qt

insane player at basically everything. i don't think i've seen him struggle in a single tank - just seems like a natural for the game and has incredible decisionmaking

 

The only NA player I usually end up watching with my sleep schedule, plays very differently from me and when he genuinely tryhards he is absolutely an amazing player (regardless of NA server LUL) so I enjoy the gameplay, it's high quality. 

 

i personally don't like this guy because of his 50B rigging and other stuff, but despite it he is undoubtedly one of the best players on EU and rivals Decha in mechanics IMO - there is very much to learn from how he plays the game and usually he'll explain his thought process if you ask him which i think is super valuable to people eager to improve.

The best player in the world, period. You won't find better mechanics than this, russian streamer though so if you aren't capable of reading gameplay yet then this might be too difficult for you. Nevertheless, incredible player. Probably the strongest mechanical player there is right now, great decisionmaking and just in general great at reading enemy intentions. There are more russian streamers out there doing insanely well, but Stanlock is still a cut above and this is the stream you should be watching if you want to learn from the best.

Decha is probably one of the most aggresive players on the server, he is a bit washed but still amazing at the game. You won't find his gameplay boring, even if his playstyle has become sub-optimal he is still by far the best at it. Nobody dogfights better than Decha. 

 

Legit 3marked 279 - met him in GO-IN and we were the primary BC players together during whatever the campaign was and I've seen first hand how good this guys decisionmaking is. The first to 3mark a 279 after the mark update I believe. 3marks tier 10 rewards and so on, just in general a super strong player. 

 

Niall's got a stupid aspect ratio but he's a very talented WoT player. Very interactive with his chat. you will learn a lot from watching him as he generally tries to explain his thought process and I think that he is very good at doing just that - the way he approaches engagements and situations and describes his thought process throughout is very valuable for people trying to learn. Has a very reactive playstyle, an emphasis on consistency here as well. One of the better streams to watch if you are looking to learn.

New guy I hadn't heard about for pretty long but he is incredibly talented. I'll be watching him more to learn because this guy is whopping my ass in DPGs as of right now

These are the ones that I watch when I can, there are plenty of russian monster players as well as other server. I didn't link Val because last time I talked to him he sold his PC, so now I don't know how SEA server looks statwise.

Just to add to this, Barry is right now doing Chieftain 3 marks on his own account, after he just 100%ed the STB. His thing is to 100% tier 10s for fun - it's insane how easy he generally makes it look. If he plays one tank for long enough he then starts taking it to a level you rarely see in WOT, like peak Kolni basically - his last 5 games of the STB 100% mark are just ridiculous, making a 6k average seem normal: 

If you want to see peak tier 10 gameplay in English, I'm not sure there's anyone better than Barry right now esepcially given that he is back to streaming everyday due to Corona.

There was only a short period of time where I would even consider myself having an edge on Barry, and that was only in some meds and mainly at tier 9s and the odd tier 10. In tier 10 he has me beat in most tanks but 907 and M60 and I just straight up thinks he is and was a better player than me by all means at most points even if my rating was higher for a while.

He also has MUCH more WGL experience, this is something that people won't get these days but the amount of hours WGL players put into the game when it was profitable was insane and Barry was a favourite pick for most players' fantasy leagues during the seasons he played. This environment playing only against the best really refines your decisionmaking and he did super well there too. The guy is just great at all parts of the game and has the collection to not let the BS the game throws at you throw your temper. Sure there's some malding at points but he resets super quick and gets back into it right away. 

It's my favourite player to watch, we also had a lot of fun hanging out in Krakow/Katowice during the ESL playoffs.. Just a great guy in general, good stream vibes and when he puts a couple hours into the tanks he's great at them. He's much more efficient at that than me, we discussed it as I had trouble with Chief and he said the same. He needed like 500 games banked for the tank to really make sense to him as you basically have to play mistakeless to progress and that means having to learn what works everywhere on every map in rotation and situation which is just a huge timesink you have to power through. Both of us were sub 4,5k chief dpg for our first 200 games in it but as you put the time in the consistency develops and you start having those 6k sessions you need. I generally find myself thinking either "this is what I would have done" or "hmm that's an idea I should try sometime" when watching him. 

Compared to Stanlock for example that is just so much better mechanically than anyone else and keeps leveraging that every game, Barry generally doesn't make decisionmaking mistakes at all when he's on fire so his gameplay has this weird thing of making things like 10 players could pull off on the server, look easy. He always knows where he needs to be and what to do to make it happen and plays that part of the game better than anyone IMO. 

Considering that 3/7 of the core roster of the GoHard WGL team is on this list, I think it proves the point of WGL experience having an impact in decisionmaking that todays pubstars just won't get.

No he's still great he just doesn't care as much anymore, he can get back in to shape anytime he wants to tho, guy is pretty insane at the game regardless compared to the field

If you read Decha's stream titles (the latest one is "washed up and dead inside") it actually makes me worry for his mental health a little bit. Guy seems depressed - he'll frequently desert battles if he gets yoloed or artied excessively. He can still pull out 8k dmg games from nowhere though.

I don't think he plays anymore but at one point his stats dropped massively.

It's just a result of competitive online gaming, if you grinded your way there you to the top are going to be pretty frustrated with a mechanic like arty and its function for as long as XVM existed and considering that he only plays tier 10 it's really rough right now with so many arties as real arty safety is a sight for sore eyes today

T10 has never been this bad, every new tank is just immune in so many more situations than the previous and pixelsniping is what brings in the big bucks in Russia but somehow they want that but are fine with rng on spread

I kinda wish Feli streamed more, he's pretty infrequent compared to the rest of your list. Only other person I'd add would be lop (twitch.tv/lop_), he's not too bad.

Just to add to this, iyouxin now does daily YouTube videos and they're actually pretty good. He has tips on how to play tanks, good light tanks spots, how to play maps etc. - if you can get past his strong accent and excitable nature, there is a lot of good tips there.

I also watch ECTbnpo6uTue - another Russian streamer, with 7200 WN8. He mainly plays light tanks and was, at one stage, doing 100% MoE on all lights on the RU server. Has more recently branched out into meds and heavies. His light tank play is smooth and his anticipation is very good.

Can anyone recommend a high-level LT streamer that is still active? (The guy mentioned above isn't anymore.)

Looking for someone that knows their way around the current LT meta, does 3-marking and equipment 2.0 choices for these vehicle. I'm branching into LTs a bit after a long hiatus and would love to learn more, as I can't seem to break above the 90% MoE consistently (starting with 8 prems: LT-432, EVEN, HWK).
