Char Futur 4 Appreciation Thread.

I really enjoy the Char4. The gun is fantastic. While you have neither burst or DPM....alpha is solid. If you scavenge 390s, treat it like a single shot, you'll still be useful damage wise. When you get 2 it's bonus. 3 is devastating. Both are possible given the accuracy and quality of the shell- because it crushes track shots.

I built mine for vision. 505 VR and enough camo to kemp boosh and pick off EBRs. Once the idiots in LTs are dead you can just scout around and kill blind tanks. Or just drive to the brawl and add your formidable gun to the mix. It's always got a decent play to make - and the tools to do it. YMMV depending on your willingness to play like a bitch, 7 skills crew, friends with Leo PTAs, and use of 14,000 bonds worth of equipment.

Hard agree. It's tough to get used to at first but you're never useless. It's really great.

Just picked this up and ran a few games. Except one game where wife came in and needed to talk about the kid (GD IT, WTF WOMAN??) that I alt-tabbed out and died with 700 damage - it was just great and still averaged 2500+ dmg with the potato round in a 5x game set.

As Crab says, it's got a play for everything:

• Bit slow on the ambush pick-offs, but has the speed and maneuverability for it - so like French cousins, it's always an option
• Enough armor for the occasional bounce instead of Made-in-France insta-overmatch
• Punchy gun and alpha - rarely need to load the gold and if you do, it's likely you are about to go into an engagement that doesn't favor this tank - but when you do that 330 HEAT pen can thrash anything you are up against at any range. 
• With the inter-clip and long-ish mag reload- it builds the great habit of poking, squeezing a few shots, a few more from a nearby spot, and the relocating altogether. 
• Enough camo to flirt within 450m circles of a lot of other tanks and easily outspot TDs on the move. 

Quickly becoming one of my favorites - what a well-rounded gem without anything that makes it feel overpowered.

I 3 marked it 2 days ago around game 115. 2700 + 1500 are my averages. I've run a dual config as noted in the Full Stealth thread. It is frankly a monster - for me it's the best tier 9 tank. Camo can be pushed to 40% with full field mods. VR is weak at 486 without vents but slotted CVS makes it work. The field mod that sacrifices aimtime and between shot bloom is worth it on this tank for the dpm increase. It's the only FR MT I've taken that config on. With 4s between shots and a sub 2s aimtime reloading in 34ish seconds is nice.

Been having a lot of success with this tank, which surprises me I'm usually more of an aggro brawling tank type player but finding playing more patiently and looking around for good opportunities is paying off. The combo of mobility, camo and gun accuracy is very comfy to play with. It's kind of like a batchat but way better at the early game where you're looking for sneaky free damage, and way worse at yolo clipping people later.

After 25 battles I'm at 3246 avg damage and 60% wr, small sample size but significantly higher than average t9 medium stats for me.
