Dutch isn't an unsupported language on the EU forums. The unsupported languages are:

 

Italian, Balkan (Serb/Croat/bosnia), Hungarian, Baltic (latvian, lithuanian, estonian) & Russian

 

 

There is a possibility Romanian might get an unsupported section, it's certainly the next highest userbase/hits on our forums.

At the moment I m using my 3rd or 4th account to post on the eu-forums from time to time. Am I a nice guy? No, cant stand window licking morons posting BS all day long and presenting that as the holy gral of tanking. And when I see shit I call it shit and dont use some nice words.

The thing is that you are fighting an uphill battle since you joined the WoT-staff more than a year ago. The majority of WG-Eu staff and mods just doesnt give a shit and others are giving up after some time beause they dont get support. I even heard in personal conversations with WG-staff, that some higher ups sometime give the impression of not only giving a single fuck, but actively sabotaging efforts of others.

Having to read that characters like BigBadVuk now are even senior mods, who can authorize perma bans ... facepalm. There are guys moderating the english part of the EU forum, that arnt even native speakers (like me) and often enough I had the impression that even my english is better than theirs - moderating and hading out (perma)ROs ... .

Instead of moderating nothing but thread closing is happing.

WG-Eu at least doing their best to get rid of all the good players and posters, and after shutting even the clan section down (round table gone, fun threads closed asap) u dont have to wonder when in 1 year all the really interesting stuff will happen outside the official forum. And I m not speaking of some parts of the czech/polish community that already have their own unofficial WOT-Forums, or SS who is managing to shame WG-EU every day by posting his Q&A + interesting articels, but about the vast majority of the active good-posting community.

This forum here I think will only be the beginning and with roaming and a united CW in a distant future your users are already leaving the sinking ships EU/NA-forums, infested with BS-posting 10K battles 44% WR donkeys and humorless moderators.

I wish you luck Ectar, but dont believe you ll have much success turning the shit hole http://forum.worldoftanks.eu into a enjoyable place.

It was more the fact you said I was full of poop when it was clear you've not really had any experience or interaction with me. If we had been talking face to face and you opened your conversation to me with that, you've immediately lost my attention and anything else you then follow up with, isn't being noted. The EU moderation is being addressed and it's very likely we're going to add a swear filter but that will take time collecting details for our 7 supported languages and 4 unsupported (but still used on the forums) languages.

Generally all bans were previously first ok'd with a Community Coordinator or Moderator but sometimes it either took up a lot of our work, or simply there wasn't a Community Team member free to ok it/overrule it.  There is now senior moderators who have to be consulted by junior moderators (And a senior mod would need to consult with another senior mod).

 

If this had been real life, you wouldn't have shat on your customer base to start with.

 

Here's another issue, you don't want to talk about the tougher issue at hand. I raised many points in my post, only one of which you discuss. The part of how bans are handled. It's a good step forward, but in overall, it pretty much amounts to nothing.

 

The biggest problem I have with moderation is how inconsistent it is. If there was a RNG on the forums, the mods would be it.

Yeah, I have to agree on this sentiment. 

 

The NA forums have basically been full of shit since Garbad got banned. It's mainly just baddies spreading misinformation and discontent all over the place now, I mean, they still have Lert but... he's an entertainer, like MightyJingles, fun stuff to read/watch, but nothing of real worth relating on how to play better. 

 

But then again, that's what WoTLabs is for, a refuge for people who don't want to deal with the clusterfuck the official forums have become.

Actually, I think WoTLabs launching had something to do with that, too. Most of the GudPlayers™ who write guides and such came over here. What you still see on the official forums, is actually only a portion of what we actually contributed, most of the threads got locked and deleted because of baddies taking offence. 

 

I don't too much know about Garbad's and Carbonward's content, but I do know that over half of my guides or write-ups (not the parody ones) were, well, yeah. 

 

Banning us sealed the deal though, and I think it was by the time that CarbonWard or Garbad got banned that the site really hit it off in terms of content creation.

I read what Garbad, Kewei, Okeano, and many other purples wrote back when I was a 46%er, and trying to not be a 46%er. But I really wasn't getting what they were saying. It just sort of went right over my head. But when I read Lert's things, they made sense to me, simply because Lert makes his guides in such a format where someone with less knowledge can still get the idea. Now, when look at unicum guides, they make more sense due to the fact I can now build off the basics(that stuff Lert's guides taught me). And I will say this, Garbad may have had a huge ego, but in his position, who wouldn't? I think his positives outweighed his negatives.

That's an eternal problem with a really good player trying to explain things on forums.  A deep purple is effectively a "Ph.D of Tanks".  Even a willing learner trying to get past his 46%ness is more like a Jr. High "graduate".  For a purple to truly teach well, they have to be able to focus on "basics" first, before they try to throw advanced concepts at their students.

 

It's kind of like trying to teach relativistic time and size distortion to someone whose physics background goes barely beyond "this apple hit my head."

 

Of course, the problem that Miros (and so many others on both forums) run into is that too many people say "time and size never change!"
