They don't really have to do that much to make it not aids, and even make it an improvement over current crew system.
Remove elite progression, as that is pure cancer, and remove the ability of instructors to push skills above lvl 10.

That's all they have to do to make crew 2.0 a good thing, maybe some minor tweaks to the skills, but nothing big.

Those mega buff skills, and how they are implemented, dont sit well with me either.

The fact you have to spec into specific skills in one specific section to unlock a specific buff is a terrible, stupid design IMO. There are so many different tanks with so many different play styles, and so many different strengths and weaknesses, that forcing you to spec into a specific section to get a mega buff removes choice, and gimps your crew, either by forcing you into sub optimal regular skills to get the mega buff you want, or forcing you to forgo the mega buff gimping you that way.

 

To fix that Id say completely remove the section thing completely. Have them all in one single pool, and you unlock the ability to select any one of them at specific crew levels regardless of where you put your points. Id suggest level 30 and then a second at level 60, because that doesnt create a giant power spike right at the end if they did it at say level 40 and 80, meaning you'd get a slightly more plateued out power curve meaning you dont need level 80 as bad to have a competitive crew. 

 

 

I sorta see that they are trying to make it somewhat similar to WOWS, but the thing about WOWS skill system is that you can grind out a 19 point captain in around a similar amount of time that it takes to grind from tier 1 to tier 10 in a line, and you only need a 10 point captain to be competitive. (At least, this was the case last time I played it since I havent in ages and they like changing the damn crew skill system every 6 months in that game for some reason)

But neither of these are true for this system in WoT.

They kinda fucked up the WOWs commander system as well though. 

You can now get 21 points. Getting to 19 points requires a total of 1,708,000xp, while getting the full 21 points requires 2,908,000xp. So the grind is about 66% longer than what it used to be...

The client for NA server currently says that it is postponed for at least 6 months, and "will only form part of our 2022 plans should a future iteration meet our expectations" so for now, there is a stay of execution as far as this crappy idea.

Hopefully they will revisit as there are some positives in there, but saying they will push it back for at least 6 months is a good thing for sure as in it's current form the awful far outweighs the positives.

Like they did with fieldmodifications? Noone talked about the flat bonuses it gives you because Crew 2.0 was tested the same time. 

Maybe they bring back Rubicon so they can push Crew 2.0. Or several OP T9 premiums.

Field mods are not as broken though. They create some extra imbalances but it's not insane.

field mods are mostly good for lights i think, for meds / heavys, its not that drastic, tds also benefit quite a bit, but tds are in general kinda shitty, so thats ok :p

Sure they are not as broken as a bazillion prestige levels everyone giving you a free Vents. 

The fact they give you bonuses without having any negativ side effect is retarded enough.
