So it looks like this marathon's reward has been revealed.

Looks a bit like VK 3001 P was moved to tier 8... overall stats are kind of meh and unless I'm overlooking something, this is yet another sub-par reward tank. I only got myself Bourrasque and LIS and those are amazing, but the recent few...

This one seems to be yet another no-armor German tank which can only redline snipe and due to the low pen will invite ppl to spam more gold. With 200 alpha, that will be disgustingly expensive tho.

To me, this looks like an AMX CDC updated at least partially for 2021.

 

They're both huge paper targets, but the Kpz 07 looks a lot better than the AMX CDC to me (although given how bad the CDC is, that's not saying much).

Worse power/weight, but much better terrain resistances and top speed, so the mobility will actually be really nice.

You give up some pen/accuracy/shell velocity. But in return you get gun performance (the biggest issue with the CDC) and quite a bit more DPM (over 3k DPM without Purple/Bounty equipment).

 

I don't think it will be any more than an okay/decent tank. It doesn't fit in the current meta, and there's just too much competition at tier 8 that is better than this. But it will be at least okay in my opinion, and could be fun due to that DPM.

It's also ugly af, which is a turnoff for some, and a good draw for others...

Yeah it did get buffed. Now it has 390 VR and 4.79s reload, and accuracy is 0.34 (from 0.37). The problem is still 200 alpha, 205 pen rounds with 962 m/s shell velocity. The premium round is HEAT, with 255 pen and 870 m/s shell velocity. While it has 500 less DPM base, the Lis' 320 alpha 252 pen 1569 m/s rounds are far more satisfying in that role.

As written in the other Thread I still can´t see why so many are hyped about this tank. 
Everything apart from the dpm seems to be out of meta. 

Standard pen is weak. Premium pen is OK but not rly good either. Normal shell and HEAT is slow. Not like we have with the Offspring TL-1 LPC which has very good 1200m/s HEAT. 
Hullamor is OK, but turret is just paper.
And the worst thing. 200 alpha. You will lose every trade there is. Even against some light tanks. 

Sure you have high dpm. Even godlike dpm when shooting HE. But you can only use it if the enemy is dumb and penable. It is too situational. 
Dpm is nice and so. But Panther88 has good dpm too. But when was the last time you checked the enemy lineup and said "oh shit they have a Panther88"? Probably never. 

The only thing I have in mind what could make this tank work, would be the HE Changes. When spacedarmor will stop working against HE and you can almost use your full HE potential.

And btw. 4400 credits for the HEAT shell is insane. With below 4s reload it will just shred your credit income. 
All YT videos I´ve seen so far were against T8s. Here it could perform and made a good amount of credits. But I want to see how it performs in T9-10 games. If you are forced to shoot gold. Will it be still good? Will it break even?

From what i've seen looks more like a tank that could be fun but not all that good. Mobility and comfy pew pew tend to enjoyable, if not all that effective from the competitive perspective.

Doubt it will be anything close to OP, but it looks like the first interesting tier 8 German med.
I'll get it at whatever discount I end up with, looks like a fun tank, fits perfectly with my playstyle, though the low shell velocity has me worried.

This tank lacks pen (and shell speed) and has crazy expensive gold ammo, so dunno

HE pen is also 90% of the time overrated** in this specific case, 55% more dmg AND rly fast reload it might work, but dunno...

Will this tank work, no idea, i was never a fan of low alpha high dpm tanks, i also dont like my E25 much

**: assuming a 400 dmg gun has 500 dmg HE, if you fire 4 rounds, you are allowed to only get 1 non pen for HE to be worth it (4x400 vs 3x500 + 100 spash) so unless you can pen more as 75% of you HE shells, your better of using AP, even on ebr the he is often questionable, on lynx (and ebr 90) a non pen is half the dmg of AP, while a pen is 50% more, so you need to penetrate more as half your HE shells, for HE to be worth it, imo thats for normal use not realistic. So unless you know what you fight (and that u can be sure to pen) its pointless imo

After seeing this thing on twitch and YT it performs much better than I expected.
When it can use the dpm the enemy melts. With the good mobiltiy you can create this situations. But god have mercy with your soul if you can´t create this situations. 
I like eekeeboos stream days ago. As it shows gameplay if you can´t use the full potential of the tank. (his setup is trash though)
The tank has it´s moments but overall I would consider it average.
This could change drastically in Frontlines or T8 Stronghold.

Anyway. I have already decided I let this one pass.

I got it with 70% discount, cuz why not. Better players who can consistently be in positions to use the DPM without taking much damage in return will have the best time with it, but it's still fun, and frankly even as a more average player, I do find it better than the Schwartz 58, which was my only other german medium prem.

Anything is better than the Schwartz. Its still imho not that great. Situational. Though I need to learn how to farm late games in it better so my DPG Grows

WoTexpress is reporting that the previous marathon tank the Chinese 122 TM had 142,010 takers while the Pz 07 RH only had 63,953 players taking it. Difference between early spring and summer overall player numbers? Difference between one offered during Covid-19 lockdown and the later during opening? Or just one has armour and the other one does not?

i wanted 122 tm good turret + gun dep + high pen / dmg is nice (the dpm is ghetto and rly takes time getting used...) Rhm is just a paper sniper with good speed and high pen HE, high pen HE is almost always shit, so all u have is no alpha dmg with crazy expensive gold and a a fast paper tank

There are a billion (fast) paper tanks on t8, who all dont rly work, becaus 240 (or 200) dmg just sucks...

So in the end, 122 offers something unique, but this one? (he doesnt count)
