Sometimes you just get shit team after shit team after shit team.

 

Sometimes you have 2k loss after 2k loss after 2k loss.

 

Sometimes you just can't play to save your life.

Same kind of problem with Mass Effect 3 multiplayer. I really like the game itself, but:

 

Pubbies are generally horribad. I have frequently outscored the rest of the 4-man team combined by the late phases of a round. And you never get to be on the "good side of things" because the enemy is AI. Plus, they insist on playing on higher difficulties (difficulty- and rewards- scale up from Bronze to Silver to Gold) when they are clearly too poorly equipped/bad for it, and yet they stubbornly continue, practically leeching off competent players; XP is rewarded based on performance, but stops being useful when your characters hit max level- credits, on the other hand, are used for buying new stuff and are handed out in equal amounts regardless of contribution.

 

And EA servers suck, I disconnect out of WoT maybe once in 150 games, in ME3 it happens probably about half the time. And somehow, the servers forget all the progress you made during a match (Silver tends to take maybe 20-25 mins for me, assuming I get through), and still remember all the consumables you use

Is it bad that my wife offered alternatives to take my mind off tanks and yet at the crucial moment of our tiddlywinks match (what else would you think it was?) I'm pondering the crappy gun depression on the IS3 and where best to go on Murovanka when you have a red team with it.

 

Don't feel too bad, I'm guilty of one whine "I give up, this is all wank" Pity Party (tm. Agemmemneon) thread in the last nine months. This one is yours, just don't start one every week ok?

Last night I had a 38% night.  Which was an improvement over Friday's 27% night.  I seriously thought about uninstalling.  

 

Are there still AFKers?

 

More than ever.  And bots.  Lotsa bots.  Few things are as anger inducing as having a well-fought, close battle that's lost because the tank that could have turned the tide is off in the corner firing randomly at a mountain.

I have never had a MMO cause me as much rage and frustration as WOT.

 

I think part of the problem is 

 

#1 Source of Rage - Idiot players, AFK, BOTs

 

#2 Source of RAGE - WGNA

     - Doesn't give a crap about Idiot Players (Fail Platoons, Tier 8 Premiums with 30% win ratio), AFK or BOTS

     - Then they screw us on the Specials

No (might be a matter of demographics, though- I'm on the PS3, dunno about other platforms). Well, I first played it last spring/summer, and again around this June/July. I might give it a shot if I can get my PS3 fixed, it currently doesn't recognise discs.

 

And yeah, those BS disconnects always seem to happen towards the end. One time, I carried a contignent of scrublets against all odds through wave 10 as the last man standing, scoring ~twice as much as the three of them, depleting all my missiles, ops packs, and medigel, completing the hack objective a fraction of a second before getting impaled by a Banshee...

Seriously, they're still there?  I can understand when it was new, but the game's been out 18 months and the community has probably died down a fair bit now, I'd expect the only people on are people who actually do care.
